Re: [FIXED] Eyes/Eyelids don't close

Indeed this is horrible for story creators such as myself. I can't play the game and enjoy the new expansion because of this eye shape bug because I take lots of screenshots for my sim story, and now all of my sims look completely different with this eye shape bug which I think is what is causing this eyes not closing bug. It's all related. The shape of the eyes have been deformed. This is a game breaking bug for us storytellers. Also and again, the eyeliner/eyelashes that come with preset eyes are lighter than they should be. They were black or at least close to it before this eye shape bug happened.

I wish EA/The Sims Team would let us know that they have acknowledged this bug and that they have plans on fixing it because if it doesn't get fixed, that's the end of my sims story that I have been progressing through since the release of TS4. I have aging off and have so many sims that have been around since 2014. Lots of memories. This is saddening. I can't continue on with my sim story when all of my sims suddenly look different.

Here is the eye shape bug topic:

This is what I mean, whey I say that the Sims eyes don't close anymore unless they wear the new eyelashes.

A very kind fellow simmer, whos game is fully updated, provided me these photos. Thank you again, my dear. 🙂

Here we see a Sim without the new eyelashes with closed eyes. Clearly one can see, that the eyes are not fully closed.

Now the Sim has the new upper lashes. You still see the gap, but in the front it is not visible anymore, because they are so big.

At last the Sim wears both - upper and under - lashes and voila, eyes closed!

They changed the eyes so that the new monstrous lashes would not clip in each other or in the part underneath the eyes.

But I just don't understand...how were CC creators able to create eyelashes that didn't change the eyes??

Anyway, it doesn't really matter to me because I never used CC lashes and I will not use these lashes, as they would change my lovely Sims faces. They just wouldn't be the same anymore.

It would be different, if my Sims were all Supermodels who wear ten layers of mascara each day, but my Sims are normal, casual people and the new eyelashes don't fit their personality at all.

So from now on all our original Sims won't be able to close their eyes properly anymore because of a couple of new, optional lashes that were added? Not fair!

Please Sims Team, you can't leave it like this! Please adress this problem and find a solution for the Simmers who don't use the new lashes!

@MissLjupkaThis is an amazing example that it indeed is done due to the new eyelashes, but they probably never thought that through for people who don't use the eyelashes.. :/

And cc creators work with the eyes as they already were, now the developers just had to change something to the eyes not to let their big eyelashes clip.. so that's why cc creators can make them without any change to the eyes.

I hope they will decide to change this in some way.

I just want my sims to go back to the way they used to look before these last couple of updates. I want to continue on with my sim story.

My sim looked like this before these updates:

This is what she looks like after the updates and with the cc lashes mod fix to work with the bugged eyes:

    It depresses me... ☹️
