Re: Sims4 Unplayable after latest update
@Jennay1990 Did your sims recently celebrate Winterfest? There's been an issue with Father Winter not showing up, and the end result is that the game lags and crashes no matter what you do. The issue was fixed going forward in today's patch, but saves that already had this problem are still affected.
If you're not sure whether this is your issue, take a look at the size of your save files. (They're in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves.) You can sort by date modified to distinguish among them. If the newest ones are significantly larger in size than the older ones, you may well have the issue. How to fix it is described here:
