Game Crashing over and over again... Please help me save my save!

gdover92​  Does this happen with your Mods folder removed?  Please test if you haven't already.  You don't need to save your progress.

If your main save still crashes, please test a new one, still with no mods or custom content.  I'm not saying that you need to abandon your current save, only that it's important to find out whether the crashing is specific to this save or more general.

I've been playing without mods for a week now, I know. MCCC only.

gdover92​  MCCC is a mod, so you're not playing without mods if you have it installed.

Does a new save crash or not?

I'm starting a new save now, I apologize for the delay, downloaded the new content and got the update in the meantime. 

The new save has not crashed so far. If that changes in the meantime, I'll let you know.

gdover92​  If the new save continues to be fine, we can try to fix the old save; if the new save starts crashing, we can try to fix the game or computer problem causing it.  Just let me know, and we'll go from there.  And if the new save is fine, try a different household within the main save, again for comparison's sake, the question being whether the whole save is affected or only the one household or lot.

I've been playing on both the new save and the old save under different households. So far the new save is very laggy but not crashing, old save isn't crashing, either, so far.

gdover92​  Since you're getting some lag, I'd like to see a dxdiag, to see whether something on the system level needs to be addressed.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
