Re: When I put a new house in an empty lot, It crashes.

@eionkasuga

Looks like you have some mods and the CC that is no longer compatible with the game after the last patch. I suspect CC showers. The new interaction was added to some showers and old CC showers created on the base EA old showers don't have it. But there can be more.
As long as you don't have those broken CCs placed in your households in the game, nothing happens. But when you try to put them in a game like this house you start to have a problem. You have to remove these broken CC from the mods folder. These broken CC will also disappear from this house when you are downloading it and will not causing problems.
How to find broken mods and CC:
1. Move the mods folder to the desktop.
2. Find and delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder. Delete also all folders with the word "cache" in the name.
3. Fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
4. Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder and check if the game is working now properly without mods
5. Check if there are new updated versions of the mods and CC you are using.
Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods one by one every time checking if you can download this house.
Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method. divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)

  • Thank you for your answer. Out-dated-Showers could be problem. I just tested my CCs and deleted some out-dated CCs.

    It worked. 🙂

And I just got mail from the creator of the custom house, he/she gave clear answer to me.
If anyone of you who has same problem like me could try.

    1. install latest version of 'Sims4Studio'.

    *snip*

    2. launch Sims4Studio.

    3. Type ctrl+shift+c.

    4. Type 'slot195' in pop up window.

    5. Navigate your Mods folder. Click confirm.

It will test your Mods folder, and sort out which CC makes crash.

    6. If the list of the CCs pop up, make sure which CC is the problem, and delete them all.

    7. Launch The Sims 4, and try to put the house on empty lot and see the installing process.

However, my problem was solved by this method.

But Thanks for you who care about my problem. Happy Simming 🙂
