@eleanorrygby Changing your game language does not delete any user files. However, if you change to or from a language that has its own localization for the Sims 4 user data folder (the one in Documents\Electronic Arts), you may not see your existing content in-game. This is because the game will create a separate folder with the exact title expected for a particular language, and it will use that folder instead of the one that already exists.
These are the names of the Sims 4 user data folder:
- Spanish: "Los Sims 4"
- French: "Les Sims 4"
- German: "Die Sims 4"
- Dutch: "De Sims 4"
- All other languages: "The Sims 4"
If you switch to or from a language that uses a different name for this folder, all you need to do is copy the content you want to keep from the old folder to the new one, and it will appear in-game as it did before. The game itself will read the files exactly the same regardless of whether you originally played in a different language.
