Sims 4 black flickering screen with lines

Hi , I could use some help desperately . For the past couple of weeks everytime I open my sims 4 game the screen goes black and these blinking lines appear, I’m not able to do anything but turn my laptop off. When I turn it back on the lines are still there and my computer screen flickers. I was able to get into my game finally about a week ago by pressing ‘alt-enter’ as it opened. It worked fine for a couple of hours until the screen would flash black and come back on like nothing happened. Finally after that happened a few times the game just went completely black and had lines through it. I feel like I have tried everything from moving my mods out of game (to which when I opened it the screen still glitched out), updating mods, updating my laptop, updating my graphics card, repairing the game in origin, etc . I don’t know what to do at this point. I’m going to attach some photos of what my game looks like when it opens and also how my computer looks after I have to turn it off . It’s as if the whole monitor gets affected. Any help would be much appreciated! Also in the second photo attached of my Home Screen you can see the documents folder in the background. My documents were not open. When the screen flickers and I restart the laptop things that were open before hand will show in the background. They are like photos of them because they are not accessible. It is so weird.

  • Hi @RAEALLYBFF Are you on a Mac or a PC? I'll move you over for tech support to the right forum. This doesn't strike me as a game issue.

Moved you to the PC forum. I'm no expert on Windows, someone here will be able to help you, but it looks like you have a display or GPU hardware issue.

I am on pc. That is also my concern, that something is wrong with my computer in general . But at the same time this issue only occurs when opening/ playing sims so I’m not sure.
