Re: How do I get back into the world I created?

@0jew8p1xq4gw  Are you missing all or most of your saves, or just this one?  Does your computer run Windows or macOS, and have you looked in OneDrive or iCloud Drive, respectively, to see whether any Sims 4 files are there?

    Thanks Puzzlezaddict!

I'm using a Windows PC. I've found what I think might be the files saved on my drive (householdbinary and blueprint files, and other things in 'saves') but how do I access them in Sims?

Would be so grateful if you could help. This is all new to me 🙂

@0jew8p1xq4gw  Find the user folder Sims 4 is reading:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

And place the files you found into the correct subfolders within that Sims 4 folder.  Saves go into the saves folder, of course; the householdbinary and blueprint files go in Tray.  Make sure you grab all of these files—each Tray item generates three or more corresponding files, and the item won't load correctly in-game unless all the files are present.

Long-term, OneDrive might be a recurring problem here.  If you'd like to address it more permanentyl, let me know.  And in that case, please also list the default location of Documents on your computer.  In Windows search, look for Commannd Prompt, launch it, and enter this command:

reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"

    Then post the result.
