Sims 4 Cursor frozen on startup
So I've had this problem for a little over a week now, Essentially it started when I tried to open the sims 4 game. I would run the game and my cursor would freeze shortly after startup (as would my screen) despite all the music playing on and on (I waited for around 25 minutes just in case). And if I tabbed out and tabbed back in, trying from there it would send me to the main menu but my cursor (after a few seconds) would be inanimate and unable to move despite my screen, and all the menu startup options working fine. The real problem is I've tried EVERYTHING, from removing my mods folder completely, deleting and redownloading the game, repairing it, deleting localthumbnail cache, running The Sims 4 an exe, moving it into my desktop to try it off a fresh game, even deleting my recent (the day before the issue) Windows 11 update, all in that order, at the same time. Nothing has worked, does anyone have any other fixes I can test out? Thanks and much love in advance!
P.S. I have a Surface laptop 3 and I usually play with a USB mouse (which I had tried detaching to see if it fixed the issue and it didn't).

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
