@vanlierde If you using a pc install the EA app and search for the Sims 4. Click on the icon and the base game should be free to download and play. When you purchase through EA you don't get a code - it is added to your account. You only need a code when you buy from I third party vendor.
Please notice that the question was about an underage account. Only support can fix that as it is not supported in the app.

kids account does not let you browse the store, the only thing I can do is buy a code with my own account, and then add it in my daughters account. but because the sims4 is free, there are no codes. 🙂
tried to explain this with help support for over 45 min. (which was very friendly) but did not understand this, the person on helpdeks his solution was to take my base game from my account (that I payed for years ago) and put it on her account?????? so I just made her a normal account and downloaded the game.
