If you have this error message again, please try to go to your Taskmanager, close the BF4.exe process and refresh your Browser by pressing F5 before you attempt to reconnect to the server. If this does not work, please try to run the game via plugin-free game launching:
Go to your Battlelog name -> click Settings and enable this option:

Thanks, but it still doesn't work. I'm already using the non plugin version since chrome no longer supports the plugin (same issue when I use IE, with the plugin). The game itself does not start at all, I've kept my eye on task manager and there is nothing to shut down, only punkbuster which I did shut down but still can't join. I tried launching campaign from both browsers and it gives me the same error too.
UPDATE: I've turned off the use plugin free launch and set IE as default browser and it works only if i launch directly from origin (open battle log website from BF4 icon in origin) but not if i click the shortcut or go directly to the battlelog website.
UPDATE 2: if i launch games that ways it doesn't recognize DLCs even though i have them installed (and in the same drive as BF4) so i'm stuck playing the stock maps
