@Pro_b0@SinlessViper24 Sorry to see that you are having issues with the game. If you are sharing an error message can you always ensure that it is readable.

Is the error you are seeing releated to DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED, if to this error points to an issue with your GPU and the best thing to do is a clean install of your GPU drivers.

You also need to ensure that you:

    • Turn on vsync
    • Perform a clean bootbefore attemting to play the game
    • Ensure you have power supply capable of meeting the demands of your hardware while it is under heavy gaming load
    • Set all in game graphics settings to low in order to reduce the stress on your GPU.
    • Set the high performance preset in your GPU control panel, as opposed to the high quality preset.
    • Run your video card at stock speeds (memory and core). This is also important for players with factory overclocked cards. This will require some third party software such as EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner etc.

Let me know how you get on.

  • Not sure how it’s not readable as I’m veiwing it from the link in full screen just fine ?

Also so as mentioned I’ve done everything as usual to check. I’m not being funny but this rig should not be struggling to play 60fps at 4K atall... you game is poorly developed clearly as bf1 I get 4K 80+ FPS on ultra. Bfv can’t even manage 60fps on medium settings....

ive flashed my bios, clean install as I said in my original post, latest drivers, I’m down to medium settings from ultra. Ultra the game sits at 11fps...

doesnt matter if the cpu or gpu is overclocked or not it performs the same.

Take me a look on your forums there are 100’s with the same issues and worse on the same hardware and better.

@SinlessViper24 You must have better eyes than me as when I try to zoom in on the error to read it, it all gets too fuzzy to read clearly.

The issue you are having is related to your GPU, the error from what I understand of it is telling you this. Did you try the steps I suggested above? If not then please go through them.

And here is The settings im having to use to get the game to be somewhat playable currently.... as you can see nvidia think the machine is more than capable of ultra settings but the game just isn't playable at those (optimised) settings

  • im viewing it on a 4k monitor without zooming in? (I bet your not following the link no doubt)

yeah I've done all the normal stuff as I stated Bf1 had the same  error on launch so its not a new thing its a game related issue and bf is the only game it happens in, I play Destiny 2 at ultra 4k 60+fps no issues and the same for Forza 7 and Horizon 4. its literally a battlefield issue not my machine.

  • here is hardware monitoring results after 1 game at medium settings

BFV stresses my computer in quite the unique way I have not seen in any other game.

I have an 8700k+1080ti too and seem to max them both (99% usage) in all ultra 1440p at around 80-110 FPS depending on map and situation.

Many computers that are overclocked are not tested for continued stability at those usages so the first thing I would test it removing all overclocks and then evaluate the game from there.

The game runs well though so would not call it unoptimized, there might be a few crashes etc. that will get fixed in upcoming patches.

  • Ive tried it all, even down to reflashing the bios and drivers.

imo if a game cant run on its max settings then its poorly optimised especially when the hardware is more than capable.

Most proper intensive games like Battlefield typically struggle at 4k all ultra at release.

Try running BF1 with a 7700K and 1080 which was available at the time in all ultra 4k.

A few graphics drivers and game drivers and some settings optimizations and you might be able to get a proper 60+fps out of it.

  • I ran bf1 on a 4790k at 4.9ghz on a 980ti at 4k no issues when it was released as with a lot of other games ?

its clearly not a hardware issue and videos are now starting to appear online to show the issues. Destiny 2 is more graphically intensive than bfv and bf1 and it plays just fine. ive tried bf1 on this driver also and its fine.

I've disabled all sorts to try correct it and the only fix so far that I've found is to reset the GeForce control panel options all to default and then I'm able to play the game at ultra settings with the odd frame issue. Dice need to bring this issue to the front of their list as even westie on PC and Jack frags are having the exact same issues.

Gladly im now able to play somewhat at full settings almost but to get this I literally had to go through the NVidia control panel and reset Everything to default on each tab

Destiny 2 is not more graphically intensive than Battlefield V and BFV is quite a bit more intensive than Battlefield 1.

That being said, yes there's ofc. some bugs in the game, it has not even received it's first patch yet.

I sounds to me like Geforce Experience might have messed with your settings automatically, I personally do not recommend allowing Geforce Experience to automatically "optimize" games.

  • It really is more intensive... the worlds are bigger and filled with 100's of AI at anyone time plus players and vehicles and the rest of the stuff that goes on in the background.
destiny 2 is 100% more demanding.

GeForce isn't touching anything atall as I showed in the other screenshots. its not just in game optimisation the menus are horrendous. let alone the gameplay issues.

From a technical standpoint, it's not more demanding. You might think all the flashy tricks a streamed MMO like Destiny pulls off requires a lot but it's not that bad compared to the amount of foliage, high-quality textures, sound, debris and particles in BFV.

Anyways, back to the matter at hand. If you read this post: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/How-To-Write-amp-Get-Responses-for-Your-Technical-Issue/m-p/7160970#M360

Could I get you to link a video like described and attach a dxdiag to this post so me and others can see what we have to work with?

@SinlessViper24Try set processor to the factory default. I have a problems with many Dice games and any of these problems were caused by OC processor.
