Re: You have lost connection to the EA servers

That trace looks really good.
Hops are all acceptable, the only packet loss is due to those nodes refusing to be pinged, which is a normal thing
Will rule out your ISP being the main cause.
Lucky you, that should save you the headache I had to deal with fighting my my provider.

Doing more reading into your issues, I have noticed it is more common with Xbox 1 players for some reason, regardless of region.
Hmm.
Might be the way the Microsoft handles connections through their platform?

I will suggest, that the next time you want to play BFV using your XBox 1, to turn off the power completely, wait until it is all the way shut off.
Then unplug it for a few minutes.
Reconnect, start up BFV first thing, see how it plays, or if you have better results.

I had a feeling it wasn't my ISP because I got through a 7-hour stream on PS4 with no drops in my connection yesterday. The problem isn't Xbox live neither, because I stay on Xbox live when it happens, I just specifically lose connection to EA servers, so it's EAs fault right? I contacted EA somehow, I can't remember how I think a previous guy like you sent me a link to a chat section that's very hidden on this site. Anyway, after doing the trace I originally sent you they said it's not their end and it's my ISPs fault. So they just passed the buck when it's clearly them. I'm sick of this man, I've been a loyal fan since Bad Company 2 and I'm treated like this. Another thing is my Origins account signs me in on Battlefield fine but when I try to find my Gamertag on the site it's not there. I can't find my Battlefield games? I think it might be because I used an older email I no longer have access to. Someone hacked my account and changed my password and I haven't been able to get into that email address for years. Would that be the problem? If I try what you said and it doesn't work what can I do? Thanks for your help.

  • That did not work, any other ideas I want to play the game but I can't, I even started a youtube channel based on Battlefield V mainly and can't make videos cus they all get cut off half way through the game. I'm close to leaving this game and never buying it again, taking my friends that played it with me to another game aswell. Probably COD, even though I like BF better, that's how much this game is pissing me off.

  • If it was solely 100% EA's fault, then 100% of XBox players in your region would have the issue.
That is what is hard about troubleshooting this issue.
Most players do not have it, and the ones that do appear to be a higher rate of them Xbox players, or they seem to be the ones that report it more often.

That first UOtrace, no wonder they thought it was your ISP fault, I did too, those hops were horrible, lol.

Do you play with the network stats turned on?
Will be a stat bar displayed at the bottom of your screen.
If not, turn it on, and if you could, save the video and upload it, starting a minute before the disconnetion, I would not mind seeing it, if that is not too much trouble.
Hell, if you could get more than one video, that would be even better.

I also started in Bad Company 2, been a fan ever since.
Not sure about the Origin thing. Sorry.

I did that a few nights ago. I'll see if I can find it.

  • I just found something with the xbox companion app on my pc. It says NAT Type "Teredo is unable to qualify. This may impact your ability to play multiplayer games."

    server connectivity: Blocked

but I do the tests on my xbx and everything says it's fine? WEIRD??

  • Looks like you have do have some sort of intermittent connection issue from that video.
Your latency spikes more than a few times, that I could see, so those spikes, if bad enough will disconnect you from the EA servers/game.
I guess the biggest question still remains, what is causing it and how to fix it.
Wish you would have the networks stats turned on, so we could see the actual numbers at the bottom of the screen while it is occurring, instead of just the netgraph.

I hadn't heard from you or anyone from EA on here or Twitter. I hard reset my router and it worked again for a few days but now it is disconnecting me again. I will get some footage with the network stats on.

  • Glad you got to play for a couple of days.
Was hard to find this thread, with all the players being affected by the DDoS attacks making threads.
I wish those guys would stop with the attacks, I get the point of not liking EA, but man, killing the enjoyment for the players just isn't cool.

Yeah, with the stats on, you can see interesting stuff while you are playing or having issues.
One of the best network troubleshooting tools Dice, or anyone has gave up for a long time.
So much better than the huge netgraph, that is hard to read while you are playing/taking up space.

Hey @danukips I took a look at your UO Trace and while your packet loss is all good there are certainly issues to be concerned about. In both UO Traces, you have multiple hops where your Ping best/worst of 100ms or greater. Any differences of 100ms + is a cause for concern and an indicator of issues with connection.

The best thing I can suggest is speaking with your ISP and showing them your UO Traces to see what they can suggest in relation to improving your connection.
