Battlefield V won't luanch after slash screen

Hey there! I've had this problem for a while now. I bought from the epic games store. Every time i try to launch battlefield V, it will show the splash screen, then it will dissappear and the ea app pops up again.

Here is the list of the things I have tried to fix this issue:

-Reinstalled EA app

-Reinstalled the game

-Launched with Directx11

-Launched with Directx12

-Repaired game files

-Allow everything on windows defender, I don't currently have any antiviruses

-Disabled EA overlay

-disabled every other application on the background and every other application's overlays

-Updated every driver when new ones come out

I haven't tried to reinstall windows but I want to do that as a last resort. I hope somebody hs found a fix for this, because google didn't help.

  • I have the same issue. This Sunday I could not launch BF1, BFV and BF2042. After I updated useless EAAnticheat for these games(here is a guide from EA https://help.ea.com/ru/help/pc/ea-anticheat/) and Set Secure Boot setting to Windows UEFI(it was on, but had "Other OS" option set). I managed to lauch and play BF1 with no issues.

But today I see this issue again, though I didnt change anything in my hardware or software.

So the issue still persists and Im sure we are not the only ones who face it.

  • Since new version of EAAnticheat is messing with your Boot Settings, I assume the issue with it's launch might be related to Secure Boot and Fast Boot settings in your BIOS.
I managed to launch BF1 after entering BIOS and just pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart PC with no changes to BIOS settings.
I guess this forces PC to use Normal Boot, not Fast Boot.
After fresh boot my BF1 copy launched with error 0x0000005, but then it started normally on second launch.

I dont know why it launched some times but I guess fast boot was not the root cause.
I was able to lauch my BF1 copy like 5 times in a row(after reboot ofc)!
It started working as intended after I added Windows firewall rules for EA Anticheat.exe in BF1 folder and BF1 itself. These rules allow these both exe files to establish any outbound and inbound connection.
I also turn off my Avast Free AV before launching BF1(but i guess adding those 2 EXEs to exclusions in Avast panel can do the trick too)

Avast is an antivirus program. Its possible those can get caught by anticheats cause they have certain levels of access that might flag.

Worth reminding that fast boot isn't the same as secure boot. Easy to mix up tho.

  • I have had this issue since early January and have yet to find a solution.  I even built a brand new machine and still have the same issue

I found secure boot on/off doesn't seem to make a difference for me.  It was off by default when BFV was working for me.  Apparently I now have to have it on for BF2042.....kinda stupid and off topic

Other things I have done to add to the above list

    -Cleared Origin cache

-Cleared Steam cache (originally bought on Origin but bought on Steam on sale to see if maybe that would be a solution, was not)

-Reverted graphic drivers back to DEC 2024 (last version before issue started)

    -Updated to WIN 11

-Manually changed game resolution to lower than what I had it set to (2K)

-Reinstalled anti-cheat, then deleted a single file and repaired anti-cheat, multiple times over

    -Turned virtualization on in BIOS

-Disabled One Drive (in case some corrupted file was in there)

Plus a few other things that changed memory allocation, CPU allocation

Still have yet to have any luck.  Hope someone has some new ideas, I miss the game
