No. The online service is not being shut down.

If/when we shut down online service for any game, we notify players at the above link.

@AlphaLeonis81 I don't think he said that. He's saying if it happens we'll all know about it. And that clearly isn't the case now and the person the op was chatting to was just making stuff up
