- @N4v1s hey so this is mainly because me and my buddy is arguing as he is a kd player and im a score player that plays objective so if u have to state 1 of them?
tell him he is playing the wrong game
- A_al_K_pacino_A4 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Devil_BFV Without a bit of context they can both be a bit pointless. Go 6/1 and that is a great kd but not doing much. Spend the round throwing ammo packs will give a good SPM but again not much good if you aren't doing other things.

Both.

Both and neither at the same time - while killing the enemy is great for your team, you can do the same, if not more damage by capping flags and harassing the enemy into disadvantageous positions and snipers taking pot shots at the very far edges of the map aren't really doing much.
SPM is a kind of indicator os skill but the Battlefield franchise offers so many different ways of earning points it can be very easy to exploit/inflate, especially when vehicles are concerned. I've earned multiple MVP's playing in FNB with some of the best players out there with 0 kills and 0 deaths because I farmed supply stations with nonstop spot flares for example.
When it comes to Battlefield, I think the most important thing anyone can do (after having fun) is PTFO I had a pathetic SPM and a dismal KDR in BfPlay4Free .
I was flanker , back-capper , hunter - my play style caused this .
As the Games Closing approached , I decided upon 'Stat Repair' .
To 'fix' my SPM I continuously joined firefights upon re-spawning .
A few days of that bumped my SPM up nicely - but I had an issue .
I discovered that (for me anyway) Run-n-Gun gets old really fast .
Apparently , my unrecorded 'fun' Stat was taking a nasty beating .
Off into AH's and LAV's for the next week or so after that , for KDR .
I averaged a 5-1 ratio in LAV's and perhaps 9 or 10-1 in the AH .
My bad KDR went all the way up from dismal to , umm , pathetic .
There was improvement though , just not what I'd envisioned .
Happily the 'fun' factor was higher now , but I still had an issue .
The issue? My Win/Loss Stat started sliding the wrong way .
Flags didn't fall , 'beasts' were running freely , no one flanked .
Apparently , I was needed more as a flanker / capper / hunter .
Back to my old ways then .
Ducking air threats , cat-n-mousing armor , stealing Flags ,
daisy-chaining Claymores (sniff) , freezing , fleeing , creeping . . .
Back to ; you know : The Fun Stuff
. . . .Of looking for things to do while in a PTFO frame of mind .
(Bye BfP4f , Hello BF4 / BFV)
I'll tell you this honestly because this what I've honestly noticed :
Chances to improve KDR/SPM arrives naturally when PTFOing .
If PTO demands I pop a Flare over a hot Flag the points roll in .
If it demands I plop down with an M1919 , KDR is gonna surge .
Here then , another honesty :
They (and W/L) are creeping upwards for this PTO Creeper .
A scientific spew as to why these Stats should rise in PTO mode?
It's the 'First Law' - Energy is neither created nor destroyed .
We just change or alter it , by our added/un-added energies .
If I 'kill' my KDR/SPM in keeping skies clear on a SAA , then the bombs NOT falling on Mates allows the chance for their KDR/SPM's to be 'born' .
