@B1ooDsh0tI've ended up buying all previous BF games on both PC and PlayStation and the progression and unlocks have never transferred over. Sadly I don't expect they will in 2042 either.
Would be good if they did since they do in other games like COD, Fortnite and others. I doubt it though as other EA games and services don't transfer across whether your accounts are linked or not.Well previously Battlefield titles didn't support this:
Cross-progression and cross-commerceAlongside cross-play we’re also building cross-progression and cross-commerce for Battlefield 2042, which will be shared across all platforms and travel with you wherever you go. For example, your unlocked progress and purchases in your PlayStation® copy of the game will carry over onto the Xbox or PC version, and vice versa*.
To answer the question:
It depends how these things will be handled, if they are things you can obtain in the store front outsite of Battlefield 2042 I suppose you can not crossover them but if they require some sort of in-app purchase then it can be possible that you are able to take it over.
@CloudMcRipInteresting indeed. If that's defo confirmed I might do the same then. Gold edition on one platform, standard on the other. Helps to solve my platform dilemma 😅
