Re: False positive bans

...also got banned today after playing for some weeks, without any details what kind of Cheat software I should have used (which I definitely didn't).

I always said (even in abuse reports for BF1 and BFV) that I won't buy BF2042 if it doesn't contain a working anti-cheat solution.

I bought it when they announced to use Easy-Anticheat, and I get banned now.

Somehow ironic, but I'm just completely pissed now.

...understanding your reaction, not believing me, I did the same so far.

I just hope you won't be affected with false positives yourself sometime (I know what I did and what I did not).

But would do I expect, why should Anticheat work when the rest of the game doesn't..?

There was a bug at update #3 that made bots in solo being counted as player kills which made them count for the masteries past 12 but at the same time also triggering the automated anti cheat purely due to how many bots one can kill without dying at a short amount of time.

So people who were just unlocking attachments for their gun during that window probably got caught by the circumstances.

As much as a hate cheaters, I am more than willing to accept the false positives happening due to A.I not understanding proper context. So that a lot of these are just people who just played the game vs A.I. bots the way the game allowed them to at the time without any modifications or third party stuff.

I feel bad for the staff that has to work double time to review all the appeals that the victims will be sending their way

I was banned yesturday. I dont have and Icyu , no watercooling software, no corssair stuff or whatever you guys are talking about. All I got running in the background are game pass, steam. AVG and Adobe Creative Cloude. Still got banned for that. This is depressing. I didn't play any shady Portal servers or whatever. Most I did was flying the transport helicopter and plane, since it was a lot of fun for me. I feel robbed and sad because the game was a lot of fun for me despite whatever people are trashing the game online about. I bought the normal version for 60$ and noticed I cant get early acces so on top of that I bought EA Play Pro and was playing daily since than up to yesturday. And it saddens me that propably all the answer for why I have been banned for will be that the ban is legit and that I can go **** my self. This was the game that literally gave me the most fun in years. Im 33 now and its really hard for me to find a game I enjoy this much. Peace.

Can I just check here, at what TIME did your email /ban come through. for me it was around 17:45 GMT/UTC.
At a point when I hadn't played the game for around a week.
So, I launched the game assuming it was a hoax email, only to find that it was actually true.

From the stories I've seen from people it seems to be a pretty common thing, and very few people seem to get their bans overturned.
his needs to get some proper attention soon.

Hey, I got banned yesterday (December 3rd) and the email timestamp is 17:45 GMT exactly. Never cheated on an online game before and have 135 hours on BF2042. Bought the gold edition... This is daylight robbery.

I was banned December 3rd at 11:45 am central time. (The same time as you, I believe.) I hadn’t even been playing that much. Haven’t played any exp portal farming servers, or used any hacks or cheats at all. 

but I received the same email and responses as everyone else here as. Hopefully this is just an entire bug and that they get this fixed. Paid $90 for it. Hate to see it wasted haha

I am not sure why I am so upset when I am not one of those affected...

Not everyone banned cheated... not everyone abused the broken game modes... It's funny that in other games I play EAC hasn't banned me, you know why I dont cheat.

Just like everyone here I got the information from EA that Indeed I cheated and they will leave the ban on. I genuinly feel like they robbed me, I feel scammed and spit in the face. This battlefield was a game that I was waiting for for so long. And all I got is my money taken from me, my time invested in the game thrown in to trash. I hope there is going to ba a lawsuit on them for this, I hope theyr flawed system will ban more people so an action will be taken against their scammy practices.

That his exactly what happened to me, i played against bots to level up, iam 49 years old so.....and got banned for cheating, made one appeal asking them to specify the response was this:

At this point I am giving up hope. I still have no idea why I was banned, or how I could avoid this from happening again, which means I cannot bring myself to start again on a new account.

To all those people who are, for some reason, completely certain that myself and others did something to deserve a ban, I can only hope that you don't suffer the same fate. I've been a gamer for the past 20 years, and playing online shooters for a good portion of that, I have never been banned from anything, or cheated on any online game.

I bought new PC components and did a fresh OS install for Battlefield 2042, the software and games that I had installed were extremely limited and none of it should have triggered a ban. I do use a corsair case, PSU and CPU cooler, but I do not use iCUE as I couldn't care less about RGB.

I hope that EA / DICE do read these posts and decide to look into their anti-cheat settings to figure out what has gone wrong. If these bans are for "exploiting" the buggy, glitchy mess of a game that they have released, then maybe they should focus more on giving paying customers a better product, rather than banning people for finding their many flaws in game and map design.

I am both disgusted and appalled by the way in which this situation has been handled, and to the state in which this AAA game has been released.

•  1 use software that interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• 2 use undocumented features, exploits or cheats in-game that disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
•  3 use software or cheats that disconnects other users from the EA servers.

First, i do not have the knowledge to know which software is interfering with EA services, they should inform us before buying the game which software is incompatible.

Second, what are undocumented features exploits or cheats in-game, i have only heard of hacking, if exploits mean playing the game in co-op with bots to level up the weapons because the game was so bad in multiplayer that leveling up was such a trauma and if doing this is reason to ban me forever from a game which i paid 59.99 euros that is the equivalent of 10% of the minimum wage in my country and coming from a Company that sells game that are full of bugs and not finished and that in previous releases they left players with servers full of true HACKERS and as i have witnessed don't disrupt EA services, I call THIS HYPOCRISY and lack of Moral.

What type of system is this, that just bans you forever with no real evidence t, i just played the game, PERIOD, it was their; CO-OP MODE with bots.

Third, I  don't cheat, i was trying to level up in co-op with bots that alone is a prove.

EA is incompetent because it is far easier to just ban than to have a system that differentiates true cheaters from players who take advantage of the bad design of maps, they should just fix the bugs and glitches and then penalize players by downgrading the XP. It's totally unfair to deny me access to the game, i did it because it was there, EA gave us that possibility.

In conclusion, i don't have money or time to sue EA, but i have my opinion to give anyone who ask me about this game and EA, and most of all i have my kids that are gamers starting to be adults and they will never buy another EA game, this company is one of the big problems with the game industry.

@RevyngeV2 I had the mouse issue after the update but I didn't delete any files. I fixed it by restoring the controls under on foot - movement to default. After I got it working logged off and went to bed.

That definitely isn't the issue with mine, I hadn't played the game in about a week prior to being banned.
First time for a week, that I launched the game, was when I got the email, to check if it was a legitimate one, I honestly thought it was a hoax.
I was actually waiting for the patches and fixes so that I could enjoy the game.

@RevyngeV2 Certainly not a reason. I have altered the settings file to fix this problem to me (removed the ConceptYaw lines to reset it to defaults) and no issues with that. After all, removing the file was an official recommendation how to fix the problem.
