Re: False positive bans

@CountSero
I am giving the benefit of the doubt to you here, and assuming you are not posting that to troll the people with genuine concerns about the False Positives issue.

Most people getting these bans, like myself, have not taken part in any Portal server exploits etc. as you have listed above.
In fact, many of us haven't even been playing the game because of the bugs/glitches/exploits etc, and were instead waiting for the game to be fixed before playing it. In over 60hrs I had only just passed Lvl50, had almost no unlocks, and am a terrible shot.
Along with the appeal against the ban, a detailed account of what I had played, when and why. I asked for a more detailed reason, and offered to send them any system information or logs that they required in order to properly investigate the issue.
They asked for no information, they refuse to give a specific reason for the bans, and as they have sent the same generic responses to EVERYONE who has expressed concerns, it appears they have no intention of actually doing a proper investigation into it.
Instead it would seem that they are choosing to ignore the issue and just tell everyone to be quiet and go away.

@xSniper1982 no, it is not my intention to accuse somebody for cheating I only wanted to point out that how EA defines cheating as a much wider field than only using a real cheating software (so it can be so much more)

I also don't know which mechanism they have to check what happens, so I can't say if this mechanism works well.

I'm sorry for everybody who gets a false positive but when you think it is a false accusation than maybe call the hotline to talk to a real person instead using automated e-mail system.

Also, EAC is a third-party service from Epic Games maybe get in contact with them to check if there are known issues with third party tools from hardware manufacturers

    Thanks for the response.
I have contacted EAC as well as EA, but with the Ban information coming from EA themselves, I am not sure there's much that can be done by EAC in regards to reversing the ban.

As far as contacting them via telephone, It's a difficult process and, they usually just refer you to the web-forms on their website.

I have sent a copy of the responses that I got, along with a link to this thread to some Games Media outlets in the hopes that someone picks it up and looks into it.

As with most things, I won't hold my breath, but I'm at least doing what I can to try and get this issue resolved for people, like myself, who are genuinely not 'cheating' in any way, including the ones that EA have deemed us to be.

    @zbran1
I don't know what to suggest, honestly, if you haven't already been False flagged by EAC, then I'd assume you were safe.
  • Hello,

I've been hacked. I know it because I level up from 20 to 40 without playing, because I've seen new friends in my list (which tried to invite me in their game, battlefield 2042 was written in an asian alphabet) that i 've never added and because last sunday(05.12.21), when I tried to play i was disconnected because *origin message* "Your account is used on another pc ". I've filled a ticket for that (last sunday).

2-3 days later, I'm banned for cheating because of the hacker. I've filled a ticket for this, i've phoned the call center to explain that i was hacked etc. They told they cannot do anything, i've to wait for the response of the dedicated team to unban me.

    Today I've received the response,

We got your note and did a full investigation of your account. After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures.

Full investigation ? but no mentionned of  someone else has connected to my account ?

Honestly I'm upset ! My account is > 10 years old. I've NEVER cheated on any games or any plateformes....Plus, it makes no sense, I buy a game 80€ to cheat on it a month later ???

What can I do now ? I've already filled again a ticket for this (even though the first one was a failure)

    Thank you for your help

You will need to speak to our Terms of Service team @RasAlGhul19944.

If you have opened an appeal then you will need to wait for the team to respond.

The process to contact our ToS team can be found here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

    1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
    2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
    3. Choose your platform.
    4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
    5. Fill out any other details below.
      • For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
    6. Click Select contact option.
    7. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

There's hope ! After a rejection, my request has been accepted !

I've seen a lot of similar posts  to this one and I think it's important to say that it's possible to unban your account (in half week).

Just stay polite, be clear and if you didn't do anything wrong your request will be probably accepted

Well, I'm happy for you that it worked.

At least you could provide some evidence that helped in your case; most of us don't even know what we're accused of; and without any info about time and kind of misbehavior, I'm not confident anything will happen except the usual "we checked" (sure you did....) and "we stick to our decision" text modules.

It just seems that EA is willing to risk losing its decade-long loyal customer base for short-time profit. Good luck with this strategy!

Awesome man, I am not sure what else to provide them with. I have multiple videos and anyone with a brain can see it's not hacks. So I'm hopeful the person reviewing my ticket has one of those.
