AMD DRIVER GPU & Dx12 - Game Crash & Possible solutions for Steam Edition
1. AMD TREIBER GPU - ERROR Fix & Solutions
- Check the AMD Driver Version: Newest >> 21.11.3 << mabe downgrade to version older Version >> 21.11.2 << or older and test it if this work you can skip all other Solutions
2. Steam Overlay & Startup commands:
- Disable Steam Overlay
- Use the start parameter (" -high -useallavailablecores -render.resolutionscale 1 ")
NOTE: The Render solution Command can also opened in the ingame console:
("-render.resolutionscale 1") mabe not work with the start up file in steam.
- Check the game data for errors over the steam launcher.
3. Folder Documents Settings Profile Player Data Changes:
FOLDER TEXT LINK:
Go to this folder C:\Users\Documents\Battlefield 2042 and open PROFSAVE_profile with right click and open with Nodepad++ then use the settings in //change Settings and copy and past it in or set 0 to 1 save all and you finish.
In C:\Users\Anwender\Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings open the folder with name PROFSAVE_profile use NODEPAD++ to edit the following commands / settings.

My Personal Speculation about the probable cause of the GPU hang errors in an AMD Radeon VII or other NVIDIA GPUS etc.
Here are probably the problem givers of this error, why always the game stores the cache data of the models in the document files, which should actually be more in the main games folder, maybe that's why the AMD GPU driver makes this error message because it cannot call up the directory link quickly enough possibly if these files are important at all, but based on the file name, I made this link to the error because this folder contains pretty much everything that could cause such a problem. I have uploaded all the files in the attachment to illustrate this clearly. Wherever possible, these directories could be optimized or modified with the next patch, either manually or by sorting the game directory.
TESTING RESULTS:
I tested the settings and i find out that if you set ON >>> GstRender.Dx12Enabled 1 and also this to OFF >>> GstRender.ClampGpuMemory 0 then you dont get any GPU DRIVER ERROR's the game now just crashing without any error showing and thats the thing this cant be a Problem with the Latest AMD / NIVIDIA Drivers it is a Problem with the game itself and you can lower the Crashing Intervall if you sett the graphics to middle or low and just turn some Game options in the AMD Driver Configs on and off and reset the Shader Cache etc. this can improve the problem but do not remove the Randome crash after round ending or when a Specialist showing up thats a problem i could not find out how i fix it.
Updated Test results with Overclocked AMD GPU's:
On my newest test branches i find out that Overclocking not realy helping but downgrade it max to -20% lower than base clock and the game will run realy smoothe just for me it was more stable than before i down tact the default speed to 80% (-20% VRAM tact / -20% GPU tact) Speed, this will reduce the crashing even more then before and make the game a lot more smoothe but do not fix it complete.
