- @Ober_Commandant It’s sad. You can tell they broke most of us by refusing to even say anything about the solo/ coop experience. We really wanted to play and enjoy the game as it was on release, but they took that from us and have not given us any answers.
- @DominickB3 I know it's worth nothing to them but I will make sure never to give them any more money.
Liars and thieves, if I had unlimited funds I would just sue them, it's definitely something we'd win, it would just cost too much to make it worth it unless you don't care about money and just wanna send a message. We pve players want to fully progress mastery and weekly missions !! Give it back !
I really only want the basics but it seems this is never happening
Allow to play against 127 bots on the large maps like it was before it was removed in Update 3 (even if just in Portal.)
Allow us to swap teams
Allow us to create/join squads
At this point it seems like they are refusing to give anymore than crumbs to PvE players. On another thread the reply was “Yeah well we enabled ribbons but at barely any xp” And refuse to even touch on the issues trying to advance the BP or progress past mastery 12. Those are the two things along with full xp that we’ve been wanting from day one but it’s clear at this point they don’t give a * about PvE players.
The funny part about that is they are throwing away money by not enabling it. I could get multiple people back into the game and buying battle passes if they would enable full portal and solo/co-op xp. The bots give full xp in multiplayer, why can’t they in solo.

- @DominickB3 Do you wanna know what makes no sense about what they're doing? They say they won't enable FULL XP bots for Portal and Solo/Co-op but then they go ahead and enable it for their "Official Experiences" in Portal. Just let us host our own FULL XP experiences with bots!

- @S3SSioN_SoL Even if all they did was allow us to start PvP games with only ourselves I’d settle for that too honestly. I don’t want to play against PC people so I go with crossplay off and there’s usually just me and one other person that end up joining those official portal servers that end up being full xp but 99 percent AI.
Then their other official portal servers sometimes don’t have any AI which is also dumb. - @Ober_Commandant I play their games for free now, dead space was game shared with a friend and so will the jedi game. If my friend doesn’t buy it ill get it a marketplace online so ea doesnt get any earnings. I refuse to support lying pigs.

Make sure you give them as much flak as possible and make sure they know what it is we want that was taken from us and never brought back.
What I don’t understand is the why behind the restriction. It’s not because of XP farming. Do a cursory search of Portal servers now, and you can see how many XP farms they have active at any one time. So why is there still a restriction on XP, especially when enabling AI renders your server essentially useless. The answer can’t be, “whoa, pal; we enabled ribbons; what more do you want?” They enabled them at a 40% rate, and people were losing their minds: it’s the equivalent of feeding someone table scraps and expecting them to be happy about it. I would love transparency from the communications team, and I understand things change, and they can’t always tell us what is happening. You have the highest XP-rated thread on the BF2042 forum, and it feels like we’re being ignored. What do we have to wait for season 6 to get them to enable portal/AOW full XP/progression? It’s getting incredibly frustrating from where I stand, and I don’t understand why the XP restriction still stands.
It only took them near the end of this game's lifespan, but we FINALLY have what sounds like full progression....Only for portal. But according to season 4's patch notes, so long as there's pvp AI and NOTHING ELSE altered (except for the map selection of course) full progression is enabled such as ribbons, weekly missions and unrestricted XP. Mastery is unfortunately still capped to 12 but at this point I don't care anymore. As long as you can progress through essential stuff, that's really all that matters.

Even with restrictions on I'm pretty sure you already could.

Gonna try and cram as much levels as I can before season 3 ends. Any advice on to get into empty servers with AI and full progression enabled? I tried KOTH via friday night battlefield and there was mostly AI so it made for a decent placebo.
It looks like EA lied or don't know how to work their own game because PvP AI no matter how you set it up doesn't give Progress or ribbons.

I can confirm that progression to weeklies and ribbons do indeed count. Make sure you enable only pvp AI but leave everything else alone. Its veeeery picky. But what baffles me most is despite making this change, (which is good) you STILL can't earn weeklies via the OFFICIAL SOLO/CO-OP MODE. THE VERY MODE THAT THEY MADE. So basically you cannot play breakthrough but we can play TDM, Rush and Conquest at least.
- @Maxthewicked100 Looks like the issue was that if you make it be 2042 teams on none 2042 maps it's restricts all progress, so I guess no none 2042 maps if you want to play vs AI and get progress on 2042 stuff.

Just keep everything on map defaults. Does sadly mean you can't use 2042 gear in the non 2042 maps but who knows...Maybe they'll change it. We'll see.
It's so nice being able to do what I bought the game to be able to do.

It ain't perfect but this is how it should have been this entire time if they wanted to cap progression. Hopefully they learned their lesson with the next BF...
