Re: Unable to load persistence data?

Seems like everyone took an extended vacation. Hey we know there is a server issue, that’s been going on since launch, but we can’t be bothered to fix it. Your solution to “to keep trying “. Yeah that doesn’t work. 

I can’t even get the PS5 version to load let alone connect to server to “keep trying”. 

As a parent, I’d be pissed if I got this for my kid and they could play. As an adult, I am pissed. What are you all doing with the money?  Obviously not working and fixing the game. 

instead of patronizing the customer base, put your money where your mouth is and fix the connection issues. Game is literally unplayable ATM. 

I had zero issues until this weekend. As comic book guy would say, “Worst Game Ever”.

    I am having this exact same issue. I am able to (at this point) connect to the game from my mobile hotspot which is a different internet account. Don't know what is going on, but I don't want to be playing off a mobile hotspot...

  • @Zumester I did the same thing yesterday based off your post. When I connect back to the home internet connection I get the connection issues again to include insanely high ping.

    It’s not my internet either as everything else works without an issue.

    I solved the problem. The internet was too slow. 2 Mbit/s arrived before and the error kept occurring. Now I have 15 Mbit/s and everything is going perfectly. I can now access the server much faster and have no more connection problems and no more error codes. Maybe this will help someone.

    @8UranusMaximus8 How did you fix it? I have a wired cable connection with a 2gig package. Things worked just fine until last week. I turn on my phone hotspot and can connect with zero issues. My phone is inherently slower than the wired connection.

    @AK_ShadowTrooper  I haven't changed anything in my settings on my pc. I ordered faster internet from another provider and bought a new router. As before, I am connected to WiFi on this router. You could have another reason for this problem, because I've always had these error codes since the launch oft he game and not just recently.

    So for whatever reason, I was able to load past the boat screen into the game. Not sure what it was: the login screen changed to the weekly reward rather than the Bolte image but the weekly message was the same. Ping was normal. I played a few rounds, but then was disconnected randomly, saying EA servers were down. Then, I was able to log back in with no persistence error, but it took a while, and I had unusually high ping. 

    By the end of tonight, I am back to square one with the persistence error happening again. I can only get past the error by using the WiFi hotspot on my phone. This is not as it should be, and this extremely frustrating.

    At least yours worked until last week.  I haven't been able to play in over 3+ weeks.  I have GCI Red(I am guessing with AK in your name that's what you have) and my ps5 speeds run around 900mbps down and around 50 up.  I tried the hotspot from my phone and it doesn't work for me either.  It appears we are getting to the point where we need to start organizing a class action lawsuit and submitting complaints to state AG's consumer affairs divisions to get them to actually fix it or refund people.

  • @AKSasquatch In contacted gci today. Because of this, I learned I’m not getting the speeds I’m paying for.

    I already sent an inquiry to Sullivans office. Bottom line they are scamming and stealing from the public. If we were to “pirate” the game they’d go after us.

    I am getting ample speed to play any and every other game I own, but this one refuses to connect.  The place to direct complaints is to the Alaska Dept of Law Consumer Protection Unit, if any entity can help it would be them.

  • @AKSasquatch I have the same going on. I have multiple smart devices and run streaming tvs. No connection issues on any of them. I can play any other game I have, but god forbid I try to play battlefield.

    Yes. I got back from out of state and tried around then, no luck with connecting. A friend who also has GCI has the same persistence error.

    Edit: I am on PS5 for reference.

    I play on PS5 and I logged into a PS4 for about a week to do challenges and play over Christmas in a different state. Had no issues there with any errors. Upon return and attempt to log in, persistence data issue every time. Error code 15:1302P:1300P:-7A

    Any workaround for this? Hotspot ting is laggy usually, and is not how this game should be played. I tried reinstalling, wired, router reset, rebuilding database, nothing has worked.

  • @ZumesterAs long as EA ignores this, we aren’t gonna get it fixed. I’ve deleted and reinstalled too many times to count.

    What I have learned is this:
    1. I can’t play the PS5 version at all unless I have my hotspot on. It won’t even load.
    2. I can get the PS4 version to load but with errors. If I join on someone else’s party I can play. Or I can turn on my hotspot and play.
    3. Being in the state no one considers part of the US, I’m guessing we get the roll of the dice for servers.
    4. Hotspot is playable, but latency and ping are crazy.
    5. Don’t talk about them defrauding or scamming us as it’ll get deleted. Already been warned on that one.
    6. They are reading the posts, but it’s apparent they don’t care. Just go to the 2042 Discord. I can’t keep up with all the posts there.
