winring0x60 incompatible?
Just trying to reinstall the game in time to get in the Mass Effect event.
Every time I try to boot up the game the anticheat shuts it down stating winring0x60 either needs updated or disabled. The graphics driver is up to date (576.80), bios is up to date, and my specs are as follows: i5-9600K, Nvidia RTX 3080, 32 GB ram, Asus ROG Z390-E motherboard.
Tried repairing game files on what was already a fresh install, and no luck. attached screenshot of error
Hm so I did some digging and winring0x64.sys is a driver that's used for fan control and hardware monitoring, BUT has some vulnerabilities. It's likely the anticheat just isn't happy with it as a result. From the error message it has a file path for EVGA which suggests youre using something like Precision X1 for fan control. Try updating the software and see how it goes when you get a chance.
