Glckio2.sys

EAs new fantastic anti-cheat that made me spend 3 hours in a BIOS setting now doesn't like glckio2.sys so I can't start a game. As I understand it, glckio2 is for my RGB lights (which would suck not to have but I can live without it), but how do I unable it or remove it so I can play BF2042?

  • GLCKIO2.sys is a system driver file associated with the RGB Fusion software developed by Gigabyte or possibly ASUS.

Check if there's an updated version of the software available to download.

If that doesn't work then try uninstalling the software.

Make sure to reboot the computer so the driver is fully uninstalled.

    1. Locate driver and rename it to glckio2.sys.old then restart your PC
Driver possible location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\GIGABYTE\RGBFusion\ or C:\Windows\System32\drivers\
    2. If everything works after restart then you can proceed to uninstall RGB Fusion software from Control Panel or some third party uninstaller. I  recommend Bulk Crap Uninstaller

Some users report the driver appearing without installing RGB Fusion, possibly due to other RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync or Steel Legends utilities)
If that's the case then do same with those apps that i mentioned above.
