Alright, there are some updates you need to apply.

Okay, there is a V2 version of your motherboard so double check its just the B550 Gaming X mobo and not the B550 Gaming X V2 mobo.

Then go to the manufacturer website of the mobo to get your chipset drivers: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B550-GAMING-X-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver-chipset

If your comfortable doing so there are some BIOS updates availiable so you can update to the latest version, the updates include the AMD AGESA ComboV2 which is related to the controller, ram and CPU.

Then update your GPU driver here: https://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/driverResults.aspx/187107/en-uk

Some of these driver may require you to restart your PC, so restart before updating another driver.

    Check your windows updates also.

If this does not work lmk, It maybe a case of OS file repair which we can try later.

@The_Tibber I did everything you mentioned besides the bios updates and there is still no change. Even on a 64man server I have the same issue, not as bad but still there

    Alright,

    1.Lets do a OS check.

Right click your start menu button and open command prompt (admin) then type:

    dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Hit enter and let the scan run, after do:

    sfc /scannow

It should mention if it was able to do some repairs, if so restart the PC.
    (If it fails lmk.)

    Then check for windows updates.

    2. Checking driver corruptions with DDU. (be sure to disconnect your internet to the PC for this!)
    Guide here: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/ddu-guide-tutorial

    3. Clearing game cache.

When using steam you can clear its game/download cache here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6AD7-820D-8BE5-E51F

For EA or Origin desktop: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

    4. Disabling Overlay (Origin)

This is if your using origin, its overlay can be really buggy to the extent I have seen performance improvements when removing it.

Close Origin, then navigate here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
    Then delete the igo64.dll file

    Now test the game.

Some of these things you may have tried, but doing these things in this order resolves common issues that have a cascading effect of issues. (For example If A does not work, fixing A does not work untill you fix B so you have to fix B before A.)

Side note: Double check/recconect the power connectors on your GPU while the PC is off.

It maybe unlikely but its happened before.

Okay bit of a sanity check, set your resolution to 1080p with low settings and see if it reflects a similar framerate of this video:

Also, does switching Nvidia reflex to on help the framerate if it was originally set to "on+boost"?

@The_Tibber After I switched to 1080p the GPU utilization dropped even lower. It was on like 20-30%, CPU remained on like 60%
  • I'm not the dude you replied to, but I have the exact same issue, in my case I did the following:
Turbo boosted + increased max power consumption on CPU
Closed all unnecessary background app to the point where i have 1% CPU utilization on idle

Cleaned the fans and CPU, temps stay below 60 C while ingame

    Paste is replaced

Hell I don't know what else to do short of investing into a quantum CPU lmao

Ones that your familiar with that are not OS critical, yes.

Any fixes so far? I have the same low gpu and cpu usage on my 6900xt and 3700x. All games except bf2042 runs smooth. Tried all the steps so far discussed in this thread, but no fixes yet.

@Ypelaar the % cpu use you see , is from, all cpu's cores together (average of all cores).
If ya display all cores , then you see 1 core is probarly running at/close to 100%
