UPD: pls disregard all below, as the problem was fixed simply by rebooting my PC.

It looks like you have to reboot it after you "repair" the game in EA app, to let some anticheat services become launched.

Repaired BF2042 in EA's APP, succesfully launched a game. But it works just once. If i quit the game error will appear again upon next launch.

Do you play Battlefield 2042 via the EA app, Steam, or Epic:
EPIC app (and then it launch the game through EA app)

When does the error occur (launching the game, during gameplay, closing the game, etc.):
Each time when i try to launch a game. Even if i fix the issue by re-installing EA's anticheat and successfully launch the game, i still have to do that again if i quit the game.

Indeed, it needs a final repair, then, a reboot, and since 24h, it works.

I've checked in msconfig and the service is ticked to run everytime windows restarts -  I can see the ea background service in task manager has stopped , if i try and launch the application through the ea app directly all it will do is scroll along time saying getting battlefield ready to play - i think the issue is serverside like doesn't get handshake from the anti cheat servers or something

start the game via the epic app - loads - on to display white line goes along the bottom then after about 20 seconds get 130 error again 

i did all your steps to try and resolve the issue ill just got back to the anti-cheat repair every time i want to play the game ☹️  mind you I've created a desktop shortcut to it so only take about 20 seconds everytime i want to play.......
