It still looks awful cluttered to me.
The scoreboard in BF4 would have been a good one to base off of, I think.

They have failed in every possible way with 2042. Even making a scoreboard becomes complicated and then misses the mark.
If I understand correctly, we will get a new revision of the scoreboard in April???Yes, I believe that is what they said.

@NoodlesocksUnfortunately this is BFV all over again (unfinished product, missing features, unnecessary changes to game-play, slow release of new content). Only this time the game is in an even worse state than BFV ever was.
How Dice/EA can fail so much is really astonishing.
And how we as players could believe in EA/Dice delivering a working product after BFV, is just as astonishing...Meeting at Dice. Todays topic: Scoreboard.
Me loads up BF3, BF4, BF5 and BF 1. Then, I hit tab. Its like magic. There it is. Basic, simple. No fuss.

I also noticed the scoreboard doesn't show ping times for other players in the server.
- @cso7777 In April it will show at the end of the round but nothing else was said about updates to the scoreboard itself.
I noticed there is no player ranks, no ping and it only shows 32 players max per team because there is no scroll bar (even less than 32 if your squad mates are below the top 32 players so they can display the three dot separators).
The squad and players list has scroll bars to show all 64 players per team so they could have copy and pasted that one. Also, what about when you're dead?! I might check the score occasionally during gameplay, but it makes more sense to do it when I'm not in-game and at risk of getting shot. Scoreboard is not available to view during the only time when it's actually convenient to look at it. PLEASE change that!
- @X_BattlePHILd_X Oh they've left that out too? I hadn't noticed yet. Seriously been trying to stay positive. Months for a scoreboard, and it isn't there at end-of-round or whilst dead?
I am agog. It's like they are trying to fail now. - @ExxInferis I still havent reinstalled the game. This is, IMO, how maybe the end of round screen should look like. Why can't the tab during gameplay not just display teams like in BF4? Or 1? What was wrong with it?

Thank you all for the feedback around today's scoreboard, we'll be sure to continue forwarding feedback through to the team as they begin to work through further improvements of it.
As stated earlier, this is only the first pass on the scoreboard and there will be more on the way, such as an End-of-Round variant in future updates.
Keep the feedback and feature suggestions coming!- @T0TALfps Will there be a scoring system added from previous games with that score reflected on the scoreboard? Because it doesn't seem that there's a scoring system in the game, and the scoreboard doesn't reflect any of the in-game XP earned from activities not tracked on the scoreboard. For something that took months to build, that's pretty damned disappointing.
Also...any chance of a roadmap or more communications? I'm glad y'all are reading feedback, but communication needs to be a two-way street and right now it feels extremely one-way.

the simple multiplier scoring solution suggests very little has been done for scoring.
can we expect a solution as with prior BF games?
the weighting of what we have currently is very much in favour of kill scores. Meaning very little incentive to medic, cap or do perform anything else.
And the small units and limited inputs also means it’s going to be very difficult to use scores to identify players that operate as a team.Not that it matters until you have server browser, multiple rounds per team and the ability to play basically play the same people again and again.
this will further contribute to the idea that BF isn’t a team game, and just a shooter. Which is what it currently feels like to me.
Will the scoring be updated as per previous titles?- @T0TALfps I think most of us want to see the scoreboard after the match. Don't know if that can be done due to having the other that show. I am positive that yall will find a solution.
- @MoeGunnzz219 Agreed, it would be great to be able to see the scoreboard after the game. Also my own stats K/D etc

- @T0TALfps Why has the scoring system been changed? Instead of XP being your score like in every past Battlefield, we get some tiny numbers that don’t even include healing, resupplies, revives, headshots, spotting, squad spawns, and other little things that give you XP in past games (speaking of which, why is the healing bonus always just a flat 5 XP? And why are there no score bonuses for headshots, squad wipes, savior kills, etc?). Also, why can’t we see player ranks anymore on the scoreboard. It’s shocking that it took 4 months after release to develop a scoreboard that’s still so flawed when you could have just copied it exactly from Battlefield 4.
