Re: Constant 100% CPU utilization since Season 3 update

@EA_Leeuw Still high CPU load. Ultra settings, doesn't matter whether I play at 1080P or 4K (as I'm currently running). 

No config file works for me with the EA game launcher, tried several times. Gave up on it.  Nothing else wants to keep the CPU load down (except capping the framerate seems to help), like it was before Season 3.  I believe I may have even been bottlenecked by my CPU before Season 3.  GPU wasn't used to it's potential.

With that being said, my I9-9900K, EVGA RTX 3080 TI, 16 gig RAM @3000MHz, LG C2 65" OLED, with ISLC running in the background displays a beautiful game. My box has excellent cooling with no overheating.  No stutter most of the time, around 100 to 120 FPS based on the map and number of players (120 hz/4K panel, G-Sync enabled).  The high CPU load pushes my GPU, which I do like.

The attached CPU load  images are Windows task manager and MSI Afterburner/Riva Tuner with all the core loads, along with a new DXDiag...

I don't understand how this hasn't been addressed by the devs yet. 56 pages of this issue isn't enough to call for attention? I was playing the game fine until 2 updates ago. CPU load is at 100% or near it the entire time. Which causes "rubber banding" or complete loss of mouse or keyboard movement, which makes playing the game competitively near impossible.

I've tried various workarounds listed in this thread and none of them work. LASSO maybe makes it so I can play for 30 seconds longer before I get the few seconds of loss of controls.

Also, why are we marking these threads as "resolved"? Saying it's for better visibility makes no sense to the community and just causes confusion. Maybe finding a better solution for issue tracking would benefit both parties?

Again, no issues with the game until 2 updates ago, all other games run perfectly fine. Doesn't matter if I play the game on ultra or low settings, CPU will still sit at 100% and loss of controls still happen.

@Rokebo73 How can that explain stutter issues when this game is the only one I have issues with? Also, nothing in my setup has changed and this only started happening 2 updates ago. So the only solution is the developers releasing a fix.

Edit: user.cfg doesn't do anything for me, tried several variations. And like I said in my first post, LASSO doesn't fully solve the issue either. These workarounds aren't viable.

Attempted to use Process Lasso to limit the bf2042.exe. No noticeable impact, and Process Lasso indicates that there are errors setting processor affinity and priority. From what I read, Easy Anti-Cheat prevents modifications of processor modification inside or outside of using Lasso. I even tried setting all launchers(parent exe) cpu settings in Lasso with bf2042.exe attempting to inherit CPU settings but failing to modify. Am I missing something here?

I know these devs must be getting their cheeks clapped by the community, but some communication seems like an obvious good move with this 3.2.0 update bringing some players back.

It's always"well,check this n that,maybe your pc is this or that,maybe try this" etc...while you are talking to people who explicitly state they tried these things before and that ALL OTHER GAMES RUN FINE

@Arrakis681  hahaha i do not protect them. Ill try to help people with a fix/workaround till their system/game is updated/fixed.
So they are able to play for now, i assume youre system is stutter to , post dxdiag maybe there is a fix/workaround for you too !

Dices DX12 implementation hasn't been good. It wasn't good on the previous Battlefield games where DX12 was an option.. Never ran well on previous BF titles when chosen compared to the DX11 option.

Compare PC BF2042 gameplay clips on Youtube to PS5 gameplay... The smoothness of gameplay on PS5 is worlds apart from the PC version. Its a real shame that Dice cant improve the the  laggy / intermittent stuttery PC gameplay to match the smoothness of the PS5.
