BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) after latest update

I have also the same problem since last BF2042 update, when i close the game after a short or a long game i get a bluescreen.

I have done sfc check etc... but its still the same.

It's the first time i get bluescreen on this computer after 2 years.

I though it was the EA Launcher that pop up after closing but after repair/reinstall i still get bluescreen.

There is probably a link with the 2 last Windows Update that was reported to bring problems (there was something about hypervisor..)

I tried the fix(es) in the 2nd link last night, but no changes - after playing BF2042 some more, I found my GPU fan had started to make a "clicking" noise, and upon inspecting it more I also found a wire to be slightly mangled - I've since returned the PC with the specs in my original post, and after trying BF2042 on my backup PC it seems to be fine (although the PC is 8 yrs old - i5-6400, GTX 1650, 16 gb RAM @ 1600)

I still think it might be affecting higher end systems/newer components, and the damaged GPU I had doesn't seem to be related to this BSOD issue, as it's strictly BF2042 doing this stuff (pic of the damaged GPU wire, attached as a bonus)

I tried Cinebench, Halo Infinite, messing around with different settings, nothing caused BSOD until I fired up 2042 and closed it upon starting up (and this only started since the latest update)

Hopefully the fix comes soon for those facing this issue

I try to uninstall latest update of Windows which is not recommended KB5041585 reported to bring game instability.

But still bluescreen after closing BF2042.

At this point it is useless to do anything from our side. 

ya got 13700k intel cpu, did ya update bios and set Intel defaults?
Undervolt/under clock youre cpu, could help also !\

Im on a I5 12600K with Gigabyte z690 Aorus, my CPU is not concern by the voltage problem on 13/14 th gen.

Im running F29 Bios for now as F30e is still a beta.

It clearly came from the last BF2042 update, there is few people that had some bluescreen as you tryed to help few.

It appears I’m not alone in this. Same problem. Only happens occasionally but when it does it’s always right after closing Battlefield 2042. Just started seeing it this last week. A bit of a relief really. Starting to seem less likely to be a hardware problem.

I had a BSOD with Hypervisor_Error every time I close BF2042 and i didn't use Hyper-V.

After a lot of fail try with Windows Update / sfv check etc.. I finally decide to activate Hyper-V in the "Enable or Disable Windows features". 

There was some updates and i had no BSOD after that so i finally disable again Hyper-V and since yesterday i had no BSOD after that.

I cross fingers, if it can help.

edit: after +48 hours of uptime en multiple BF2042 open and close, bluescreen again.

If ya did update bios, ya should load OPTIMIZED DEFAULT and SAVE them.
Sometimes a cmos reset (hard reset bios) is required.
Check youre manaul from MB how to cmos reset bios (by connecting 2 pins for some seconds, without power connected to youre system)
