- @Ironhead841 But armor plates are still in the game? So now you just have inconsistent gun fights after you use your 2 armor plates. Taking armor from Angel just made him useless
He still has loadout crate and ammo bag yes?
As to armor plates already in the game, yes remove those as well.
- @Ironhead841 load out crate had always rarely been used since it takes so long. Again every single specialists in the game has access to a ammo crate so that's a useless ability. Angel is pointless now, that's my point
I usually play Angel and the first thing I do when trying to cap a flag is call for a loadout crate, then begin clearing enemies and distributing ammo/armor to teammates.
Even with removing the ability to dispense armor I honestly don't see how it will change that play style.
- cso77774 years agoSeasoned Ace@HARLEMnycity You are probably right, Angel is more or less pointless.
Having to create a lot of specialists with unique abilities is just asking for trouble. We end with some specialists being worthless and some of them being overpowered.
That is why they should never have used specialists for a BF-game.
And passive items like turrets and robot dogs should be removed from the game. These are just sucking the fun out of the game for everybody else, than the ones using them. - ATFGunr4 years agoLegend@cso7777Angel was so over the top that every squad had at least two. I freely admit it was the first one I took to T1 as it was easy. Ammo, ammo crates, revives and armor? It was easily the most regular specialist in game as it has so many ways to make points. While the armor plates were handy, losing them doesn’t change that player much. He can still throw ammo, call in crates to change load outs with, and revive like crazy. Nerfing the turrets, which again I read so much hate about yet they could be killed with a mag, and had a slow enough lock on that if you’re not running around like a doorknob then they’re easy to kill… wasn’t necessary. Taking the wall spotting out is, nothing should do that except maybe sensor balls.
It’s going to make T1 of Boris a lot longer to get though. - CloverDeuce4 years agoSeasoned Ace

??? Someone chooses Armor plates as his gadget. They get 2, so that gadget can be used twice and then it is gone, like rockets or C5 or mines. After that you will be on an EVEN playing field in a gunfight. If anything it is 'inconsistent' (not sure you are using that correctly) and to your advantage when you have the armor plate on and someone else doesn't.
AND if Angel calls in the loadout crate, you can resupply your armor plates there.
You make it seem like because Angel doesn't throw out armor plates like candy anymore that he is totally worthless. He has the best abilities by far of all the specialists. He can re-supply, allow weapon and kit changes, heal/revive and he still gets any gadget of his choosing. What game are YOU playing?
Also, IMO, if someone wants to forego some other gadget to get 20% more sustainability, then that is there choice. It is not that OP. I prefer the spawn beacon, some prefer rockets, choosing 1 means you don't get something else, its not like people are getting extra armor and then getting AA missiles or C5 too.
- CarreraLuu4 years agoSeasoned Veteran@CloverDeuce clearly this guy is a cry baby and want the easy way of having the upper hand against the opposite team. He wants to not engage in fights and lose, he wants to win fights the easy way. Ever since the armor been removed from his supply bag, I've been able to kill Angel's much easier now. Before it was very unbalanced and was very unfair, needed 2-5 more bullets to kill a Angel or other pissed me off. I wish the armor was never introduced to the game the way they designed it. I think the armor should be nerfed to only +5 life no more for Irish no stacking as well or the actual gadget.
@CloverDeuceWhat don't you understand about inconsistent gun fights? Someone without armor plates takes 4 bullets to kill them. Someone with armor plates takes 5 or 6 bullets to kill them. Do you not see the inconsistently? The disadvantage is getting into a gun fight after you already used your 2 armor plates vs someone who just spawned in with armor plates.
This game is way too fast pace to wait for his supply crates to land in. Plus you can't call it in while indoors. Maybe if they spead it up it would be better and more useful.
He is easily the worst specialists. His only useable ability is to resupply ammo when EVERY specialists can choose a ammo pack themselves. And that ammo pack will resupply ammo and armour while Angels only does ammo. Why ever pick Angel over Falk? She can do all of her healing/revive abilities, then choose a ammo pack to resupply her teammates ammo and armour. To reiterate her ammo pack is even better then Angels because she can resupply ammo and armour. Angels only does ammo. She's twice as good as Angel.
@CarreraLuuI love how you claim I'm crying while in your same post you're crying about Angel and armour packs. We all see why you're glad he got nerfed. The fact of the matter is armor packs are still in the game so you still have to deal with them. No one even uses Irish because getting +5 armor does very little in this game. That doesn't even add 1 built to ttk. Plus this game is so buggy you have a 50% chance of even picking up the dropped ammo from the killed enemy.

@HARLEMnycityI've been crying to get angel armor removed from day one because it makes the game imbalance. I'm glad it's gone and it levels the playing field now. I play on ps4 slim as well. Are you like 12 years old dude? You complain about things that were overpowered now gone. If you never played the previous titles such as BF3/BF4 then I dunno what to tell you...Those games did not require armor and it was fun and very balanced. You just want things your way, while everyone else suffers.
@CarreraLuuI've been playing shooters for over 20 years now. I'm complaining they changed a game that very few people still play. None of my friends still play. No popular battlefield YouTubers still play. None of them stopped playing because of Boris or Angel. Tbh I rarely read any complaints about Angel. They stopped playing for much bigger and important reasons. Dice should focus on those things and not nerfs. I can just find the new "best" specialists and weapon. Or I can just learn to dominate in the Condor which seems really powerful. But they'll just nerf those to. For a game with so many problems still and such a small player base what's the point?
Dice needs to fix the maps. Add more maps. Improve the game modes. Add more game modes. It doesn't need to nerf weapons or specialists. If they're putting resources into nerfs then the major problems may never get fixed.
- CarreraLuu4 years agoSeasoned Veteran@HARLEMnycity man change your name to crybabycity no way you're from Harlem and want easy gameplay cmon son you make NYC look bad lmao
But you’re ok with a ballistic shield, grapple, and wingsuit? There was nothing wrong with the armor, this is bf 2042 not bf 1942. The only thing they should have removed is the ability to give others armor without reviving them, and the torrents ability to spot and highlight your position.
@TheKingNTheNW wrote:But you’re ok with a ballistic shield, grapple, and wingsuit? There was nothing wrong with the armor, this is bf 2042 not bf 1942.
BF2142 had turrets as well. (It's been a long time, but)
-They couldn't spot
-Deploy time of a few seconds
-Could only shoot in a limited angle, not much vertical, maybe 120 horizontal.
So even 100 years in the future Borris's turret is still OP.
