Wildcat 60mm flak OP against infantry?

I just had a game in breakthrough where the attacking wildcat just camped their spawn all game and got 76 kills in a 16 minutes game of 2 sectors

The problem seems te be the fact it's a 2 shot with an insanely huge AOE effect, it actually feels pretty similar to the 50MM canon on the hind/condor

    60mm should do that to infantry in real life but in the game they should make it not do nearly as much damage to infantry so as to disincentivize wildcat drivers from shooting at infantry

  • @InS_Hypno I noticed something a bit imba about it yesterday too... It should at most 3 to 4 shot for splash damage and 2 shot for direct hits since it's a side gunner, I'm not sure what the fire rate for the thing is but it's definitely a bit imba.
  • You act like a wildcat can't easily be taken down by Liz missiles, C4, other armored vehicles, M5's or disabled by Rao, Casper, or EMP grenades. A 60mm flak gun kills infantry just as water is wet.

    no, lis can't easily take down a wildcat.  she shoots pillow missiles that have a 30 second cooldown and the wildcat easily shoots down the missiles.  at best lis can annoy a wildcat

    You act like something that allows you to get 5 kills minutes without leaving spawn is balanced

    That's literally the KPM ACE nightbird pilots get without having to leave their spawn

    @Psubond I can tell you one thing for certain, the Wildcat itself can't easily shoot down the missile because of turret turn rate and angle of attack. The Minigunner can however, shoot them down easily if they're paying attention.
  • @InS_Hypno I've had a look at it myself in-game and I can tell you that its rate of fire is definitely too high. It's one of the fastest firing side gunner modules and is very likely unintended. It would be more balanced if it had a fire rate that's equivalent to the other firing modules.

    Granted the Flak module I used had "AA" in its name, so maybe its damage against infantry needs to be toned down whilst maintaining its damage against aircraft.

    AA against infantry is super fun, I'm quite surprised it has flown under the radar for as long as it has
