Re: Voice Chat Features

@Eonoyu
Is voice chat working for you AT ALL at the moment?

I am just curious, but to me, this seems completely bugged or nobody has it enabled. Or it may just be conflicting with TeamSpeak running at the same time.

At least I tried to use it and set it to Squad when playing a few nights back. We were 5 players and usually we split 3/2, but we wanted to run SOFLAM + M5 and therefore split 4/1 (me being the solo player). We were communicating in TeamSpeak as usual, but I enabled Voice Chat and set it to Squad. Over many rounds in different squads I did never hear any of my different 3 random squad mates say anything nor did they seem to be able to hear me (even though my voice chat indicator in the top right with my name+speaker was showing as expected).

To me, this seems to be completely broken. Or everyone has turned that feature off (something I also usually do to be able to focus on TeamSpeak as there is enough going on in there anyway -- but after the experience that voice chat will stay mute, even if enabled, I can as well leave it turned on).

    I have had a couple rounds of it working and chatting with someone that is on console (I'm on PC). I think one of the main problems is that it defaults to on with PC but off on console... so unless they went into settings and turned it on, then they wouldn't even know you were trying to communicate ever VOIP. I mostly only play with friends and use discord though, so unless I'm solo-queueing [very rare] I wouldn't be trying to use it in the first place.

    @Eonoyu there are already settings for Squad and Party that you switch between in the options IIRC.

    @DuaneDibbley We use it all the time, but most people are either surprised to hear anything, or don't want to speak to strangers.
    On PC it works in parallel to Discord, and the voice quality in game is on par with the external voip providers.
    Since the people I usually play with are all on PC I can't tell in cross platform voip actually works.

    @Anobix I think you always need to actively need to enable your microphone.
    But I don't want to reset the settings to default to check this.

    I'm not having any issues with the Voice Chat. I think most users are either playing without headphones or using other methods of communication.

    The VC is good, I think proximity would be phenomenal!
