AI has been receiving good updates.
Up close on Advanced, bots will just straight up aimbot kill you. Which Is not bad as usually vs human players you get to die also very quickly when up close.
On medium range AI kinda underwhelms, they shoot less often and it becomes way too easily for player to lie down and mow them with MG. AI is overall getting better and better. It's just that after ~75m they almost can't see/hit you.
Before this 3.2 update, playing on Stranded, unless I would push, AI would almost never take any objective. Now, AI on it's own is dominating and finishing. Funny part is, just like vs human players in Breakthrough mode. Attackers always win on Stranded. Now my bots easily just capture all objectives and I don't even have to play. Just wait until my AI wins the match.
Which i must add is PRETTY AWESOME. Whoever is coding bots in BF2042, hats off, nice work ! I would only wish if AI would be a bit more of a challenge when they are in 75-150m range. Below 50m they are deadly. Or is it possible in portal to increase attack range for bots?
A bug i've noticed with AI, is that they would take transport heli and just go up and to the edge of map, once there, AI would get stuck into some forward/backward movement loop. On Arica Habor, I would not be even able to spawn on them so that I can take control. They don't appear on spawn map, so clearly they move outside of map borders.
Please devs, make a command for AI. When player says "Get out", AI should jump out. It's working in BF2 and it's a must here. Currently, when I'm driving any vehicle and my vehicle is about to explode due to critical damage. AI just ignores me when I say "Get Out" and gets killed, group project style.
