Re: PS3 Deadspace 3 crash

I have an original 60 gb ( with a 320 upgrade). Game loaded ok and plyed well in offline mode. again- in online mode the game will freeze on elevators and opening and closing of doors. (at a progress saving point. All of my other ps3 consoles (slim,superslim, and the new 500gb white- will freeze at the same types of points- just not necessasarily on the same level Sometimes deleteing the GAME DATA, game save , and reinstalling everything( copied save files) sometimes- but not always- i can get another level or so in. I WILL NOT even attempt to try a co-op level again until there is a patch. I have 4 ps3's and 4 different usernames all at about 80% completion new game plus. can't do any co-op missions on any console. That is a lot of hours invested in this game so far. as much as I have loved every deadspace game it is just not worth the aggravation to play this anymore. I will keep checking for news of an update but until then it back to mass effect 3 or burnout paradise. Good luck to all.

i can't understand why anybody would ever call EA the worst company in America their customer service is impeccable their games are perfect an the way they keep the consumer informed is better then CNN...i hope the sarcasm wasn't lost on anybody

just got off the fone with an "advisor" an i was told nothing is wrong with the game an even tho i can play any other game on my PS3 the reason my 1st gen console wont play dead space 3 is wear an tear on my part...i said i have no issues with any other games in my collection "advisor" said well u havent played every game in the world  im sure theres other game ur system wont play.....thank u advisor an EA 4 being so helpful an figuring out the problem...the good ol fashion blame the consumer...so nothing is wrong with dead space people ur system is just worn an torn

not that this is any help to complete the game (100%) but step one 1. try deleting the GAME DATA file 2. delete your save file (copy to flash drive first ) 3. go to internet connections and disable connection to internet . DO NOT CONNECT TO INTERNET. reload your game. it will not update. Chances are excellent that you will be able to play the game through to the end. you will not be able to do any co-op missions. You should be able to create a new game plus upon completion. copy those save files to a safe location.(flash drive) for safekeeping . in case there is ever an update then you can reload the game online and download any add ons you bought. I have talked to an EA advisor and supervisor numerous times and yes- there is a problem with the autosave system freezing systems or destroying save files. whether it is fixable with a patch I don't know. If its fixable- there will probably be a patch. someday. if it such a screw up in the programming that a patch willo not fix whats wrong then I doubt that EA will ever admit to it and have to replace everyones disc. If they do they will probably won't a sales receipt. like who keeps sales receipts for all the games? we are screwed..

Unfortunetly I tried this and it still did nothing, also EA does know there is a problem, I'm just guessing they aren't communicating it to everyone.
