PS3 Dead Space 3 limited edition - DLC on disc?

I bought a used copy of Dead Space 3 for my PS3 Seller stated DLC was on disc. I have completed the game on the initial difficulty. Can't figure out how to get the Awakened DLC to come up except to buy it from the play station store. Can anyone point me in the right direction? My friend bought it at the same time. He tells me he can download Awakened for free. Help!
