So do I really have to PAY to reset my skill points in Dragon Age 2?

EA customer support basically told me that I had to pay for the Black Emporium even though I bought the game new.

lots of people  have claimed to receive codes from support, but by support agent fervently argued that this wasn't the case. He had nothing to give me even if he wanted to. You know what? Thats almost okay by me.  The dude was just doing his job.

But... my point is this, of all the bull crap EA has pulled on DLCs, this has to be up there with one of the worst. How many other games do you know where you have to PAY real money to reset your skill points in a single player RPG game?

It would even be forgivable if reseting points wasn't even an option, but to charge for it? And I wonder why people are now resorting to piracy.

Thats low, even for EA  what I expected from EA.

  • You seem to be conflating a couple of very differnt issues, and haven't provided enough information, (like purchase date and channel) for anyone to really address your primary one.  But the basic answer is the same in any case:

Try again with a different EA Game Advisor.  Some of them don't seem to know much about the complexity of the BioWare games their (tenuous) relationship to the rest of the EA catalog.  So they give <cough> "incorrect" answers regarding DLC and other aspects of the game because they think it's like custom hairstyles for SIMS.

I've had the experience of getting a "Really wish I could help, but I can't..." response from one guy on the Live Chat, to a "Here, let me take a look at your account... Now try... Well, let me look into this some more... There, it's fixed!" response from the next.
