Re: missing descriptions in Awakening, and no dialogues and quests in Soldiers Peak.

Hey, it sounds like your game content is corrupted.

To start with, I'll ask you to update Origin to the Beta version. I ask this because the new version should automatically check and fix your DLC too. To do so, open Origin, then Application Settings, and under General you'll have Origin Beta Participation as an available checkbox. Then restart Origin and it'll update.

Once you're updated to Beta, repair the game client from the game's right-click menu in Origin.

Thanks. When you installed the DLC, was it from Origin or the BSN page? If the BSN page, try removing it from your documents and redownloading it manually.

Nay. I downloaded ewerything from Origin. Maybe it's because i changed the language to english directly in game files before i bought the dlc's?
  • All right, i know what causes the issue. When i bought origins i changed the game's language to english by altering the "voicelocale" and "locale" lines in dragon age file to en-us and later i bought the dlcs. When today i changed the lines value from en-us to my native language and checked if the descriptions appear, they did but this only works in my native language and when i switch back to english by changing the locale value i get empty spaces or id signatures instead of names and dialogues. I prefer to play in english, because in Poland they don't make really good dubs. If someone knows how to fix this issue i would be grateful for help.
  • Hi. I recently had a same issue and I have managed to find out how to fix it without being forced to play in your native langauge. It seems that the game set to English is somehow conflicting with your Origin. (Your Origin is set to different langauge, I assume)

    1. Delete "DragonAge.ini" in your "...\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\"

(I think that you can skip this step if you have already changed you "locale" and "VOLangauge" to "en-us", but I would do it anyways. It's best to be sure.)

    2. Change your Origin laungauge to English

    3. Reinstall your game

    4. Dialogues and other texts should work now
