Re: Requisition Quest Restart Bug

I am posting to say that this quest is indeed still broken. Given that we have no way to drop quests, it is indeed irritating because I would never have taken it. I'd like to clear my log to feel like I am completing things instead of seeing every location still listed pointlessly there. Next playthru I will ignore all the requisition quests cuz this not the only one that can end up stuck there. Ferelden locks for the requisition in the Hinterlands is also basically undoable since all the enemies who drop them are now dead. 

I was attempting to clear out my journal before heading into Trespasser. It was a pain in the ARGH to collect the Ancient Writings, since I had to keep respawning the Ancient Baths for those 3 Freemen who absolutely did not want to drop them. But, finally, 20-odd respawns in, I get my Writings. I turn the requisition in. And all that happened was my 5/5 Tomes and 3/3 Writings went to 5/5 and 0/3 (I had quite a load of extra Orlesian Tomes). At first I figured it was some bug due to me having so many unneeded Tomes, so I reloaded the game (because I was NOT about to farm those Freemen again), went and sold my Tomes, bought the precise number needed back, and went to turn in the requisition again. And what happened? The quest refreshed to 0/0 for both instead of completing.

Very frustrating. The ONLY quest remaining pre-Trespasser and upon finding this terribly old completely ignored thread, it's obvious that it'll be impossible to remove from my journal. This leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Hopefully I'll enjoy Trespasser enough to counter that.

Yeah, to clarify, this bug does occur on console. It's still bugged for me on Xbox One.

Haven't played the game in a year. Cam back to it to replay the DLC and encountered this bug. Can't believe this still hasn't been fixed.

Throwing my two cents in -- I'm having the same problem with the same quest OP was stuck with ("Lore Requisition on the Plains" - 5 Orlesian Tome, 3 Ancient Writings). I just opened my game after a month or so of not playing to find I still had the quest in my journal, which I thought was odd considering I'm also a completionist and completed all of the Exalted Plains a few months back. I did the quest again, farmed a couple of Freemen, turned it in, only to open my journal again to find that it was still there, uncompleted. Very annoying, very disappointing. It's going to drive me nuts until it gets patched.

EDIT: I'm playing on PC.

@maeveactually Unfortunately, then, it's going to drive you nuts forever. There are no more patches or content planned for this game on any platform. 😉 Sorry.
