Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition keeps crashing to desktop no error message, unplayable
So guys......to me it always crashed to desktop with no error message right when you are fighting the first pride demon at the beginning of the game. Before that, I had only one crash and that was during character creation. So what I did was......I turned off my windows firewall and changed my display to windowed fullscreen and I managed to get past the pride demon. Did that work for the rest of the game I don´t know, but it seems like these crashes happen on individual basis with no concrete reason. This game, while it is beatiful and visually engaging with solid gameplay, it is also a technological mess and a disaster....for a PC, at least.
Update 1
So I´ve been playing just fine, with no crashes or anything, by turning off windows firewall and with a windowed fullscreen, but it doesn´t work anymore. Crash happened when you are near the fort where you close the rift for refugees and chantry clerics. Near that fort is a rift and a young woman who had a picnic with a killed apostate. At that point it started to crash, again.........this * game.....It´s awesome, beatiful, visually stunning, gameplay is solid, voice acting is superb and the story is intriguing. The political aspect of this game is fascinating to me and, in my opinion, done really well, but...............from a technical standpoint, this game is a travesty.
Update 2
Guys, it seems like, at least for me, that extreme injector gets rid of the crashing to desktop ( I´m not talking about directx crashes, but regular crashes with no explanation ). The framerate, again at least for me, drops down a little because of extreme injector, but for now, it´s playable.
