Re: 'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts' bug

The way to check version number on PC is to check on it in the .../Origin Games/Dragon Age Inquisition/Update/Patch folder, a file called package.mft. If you open it with notepad, it should tell you the version number (which should be 12). Still, I doubt that's your problem, just something handy to know if it's ever an issue in future.

Have you tried doing a repair of the game? Right click the game in Origin and select 'repair game'. It shouldn't take too long, and can often fix little quirks that pop up. If you're using mods, take the mod folder out of your Update folder first.

Speaking of mods, if you're using any there's a tiny chance this could have something to do with your issue (I've never had it happen to me, I just finished this section, actually, and I have a ridiculous number of mods running, but you never know). Have you tried removing your mod folder (remembering to change your version number in Patch so you can load your save), see if that makes a difference?

Have you tried decreasing your graphics settings? All sorts of issues seem to pop up relating to this.

Finally, if none of that helped, please provide a dxdiag. 🙂

  • Thank you so much! I repaired and set the graphics down low. I still needed to reload about 4 times. Then I lingered out the door a bit longer, and it came up on screen that I'd discovered the room before I stepped into it. Then when i opened the door the cut scene began and I was able to complete the quest!
