Got a screenshot for me @Skyth1230407?
Have you also tried clearing EA Desktop's cache via App Recovery?
Ok if it is not that easy I can unverstanden that is not yet there but it is still no excuse. Having twice the space is suboptimal. Also I have the games installed since weeks and the are not detected. I just play other games instead of bothering with that. So no, the wont appear. Maybe the App will detect automatically after Reinstall but that is suboptimal too. Another good fix I can think of is being able to set multiple install locations, smth essential that is missing anyway.
I have a 10 megabit per second download speed. Does that mean that instead of having a troubleshooting step to detect a game I've already downloaded, I must spend another 24 hours to redownload a 110 Gigabyte game because you forgot to allow changing Install locations? Turns out I don't have the time or space on my computer to do that, so please tell me there's a better solution to resetting my progress, wasting a day or two with deleting and reinstalling files and having no internet connection because as I said before, my internet can't handle a download of that size.
- @HobgoblinZA And yes, I have done a cache recovery and repaired the app, so don't give that troubleshooting advice
- @HobgoblinZA found a solution?
- @ronshelby17 Nope! 🙂 I've just uninstalled the launcher and moved on to different games
I don't know how you guys think reinstalling is a solution. How can you tell people that "it isn't that easy" when it is already a feature in your old app, Origin.
If you're going to come out with a new app and nuke the old one, you should at least make sure it has the same features??? Maybe even some new features? Otherwise what is the benefit?Wow EA. Thats a bad joke, right? I have to install the new EA App to use the integrated EA Play in GamePass and it automatically uninstalled Origin.
So i have to reinstall Origin (bless me i archive anything) do redetect an already installed game, cause the devs of the new app are to dumb to integrate something that was already in the old one and is a STANDARD!!! in every other launcher like Steam, GOG Launcher and so on?!
Guess i'll pass on the EA Play games and uninstall the EA Launcher. Thats a big no go and hilarious. Fix this before i'll come back again.
The bigger a company gets, the lazier it is. Its always the same.I am in this same boat and this is an absolute joke. My slow internet will take at least 18 hours to redownload this and Im not really down for that.
Just install Origin again, search for your game and start it with Origin...
Tried it because i was curious if this still works, it does.
hello, can you send me the link to download origin?
That does NOT work just FYI. Reinstalling does nothing for me. I did get my friends list but I can't play my game its not in my library and I can't even download it via Ea's new forced crap app.
The EA app is a joke. I faced the same problem while downloading an 80 GB game. 96% was complete and it gave an error. My internet speed is 650 KBps it took me 3 days to slowly download it. Uninstall the app and move on to Steam.
I don't get the option to install my copy of Mass Effect: Andromeda. It just tells me to install it via steam which I already have. I've tried reinstalling the game on steam, reinstalling the EA App, moving installation files around, using Origin (It just forces me to use EA App).
