Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition suddenly stuttering

You're right, my CPU is running really hot while I play the game. Are there ways other than cleaning it that might help cool it down?

https://hastebin.com/ucafohaxib.tex here's my dxdiag report. I know I'm on a laptop that barely (if it even does) meets the minimum requirements for the game, but like I said I've never had issues before now.

Per intel in the link, that processor has 2 physical cores and 4 threads, while DA:I requires 4 physical cores to run correctly.  Now having 4 threads I think mimics 4 cores for the machine BUT it means the ones you do have work their A-- off doing the job.  Cleaning, having someone who knows how open it up and check the cooling fan and thermo grease between cooler and chip, not playing on a soft surface so you have more air flow, aftermarket "cooling pads" and turning down graphics and options so the entire machine doesn't have to work as hard can help.   Best thing of course would be to play on a newer desktop computer set up from the start to game....but we all do what we must with what we have available.
