Re: Slow Download Speeds on EA app

I completely agree. This forced change from Origin is absolutely atrocious. I don't understand how forcing people to download this app could be good for EA. insanely slow download speeds, the app itself is more bloatware than anything else.  

Hey all, for issues with slow downloads can you try the following:

• Disable all background programs on your system (including Steam). You can also do this with a clean boot
• Temporarily disconnect all other devices that you don't need from your network
• Use a wired connection
• Make sure EA app is accepted in your anti-virus and firewall

It is not 2010 anymore - Your DL speeds are terrible and only happens on your site..  To blame background apps on PCs these days is lazy.

that is no help what so ever, I've done pretty much this its the same every time, stop it and start a steam game update or download, its super fast, blaming other things for your horrible app is lazy. sorry to say

Tested just now @RyFox122 and my download is flying down. Just because one platform is faster does not mean that it's not a network or system issue.

late reply but my connection is always consistent and always over 50mbps but mainly 100mbps+ it is most definitely not my hardware or network it is the EA app, because i tested using a VPN while downloading like I seen someone mention on a post and then it jumped to a faster speed and only then... Origin was better but still on the slower side but at least it wasn't this slow@EA_Darko
