@Ftom14cat A dxdiag could be helpful (instructions on how to create one can be found in the spoilered section of this sticky). Are you using any mods?

  • I am not using any mods; game was installed as it comes via origin launcher/installer with official DLC packs installed/enabled

    Note: I've had great success running the DA: I executable in Windows 7 compatibility mode and launching directly from the executable rather than through the origin launcher - removed almost all crashing

    @Ftom14cat For future reference, when asked for a dxdiag, please remember to actually provide the report, you need to hit the 'save all information' button (shown below), save it as a .txt file and attach it to your post. The system information stuff you posted doesn't have what we're looking for. 

    It sounds like you may have found a workaround for your problem, though, so hopefully that keeps working for you. 🙂 Seems a bit odd, but if it works, it works! 😛
