Error ref #54001

I activated EA PLAY with an activation code. NOW I WANT TO UPGRADE EA PLAY PRO. BUT WHEN I PAY ALWAYS POPS UP [REF. #54001] AND I CAN'T BUY EA PLAY PRO

    • Use a different payment method
    • Make sure your billing details in the EA app match the billing details for your card
    • Remove and re-add your payment method from your account
    • Make sure the location on your account matches your real location

    I have the same issue and on the live chat they told me to make a post here, and of course when here they tell you to contact the live chat. An never ending cycle! 

  • So for about 2 months I have been trying to buy Ea Play Pro and to this day I still get the exact same error message. Funny thing is that I can checkout everything else in the EA catalogue, but when trying to buy Ea Play Pro subscription, it doesn’t even give me a checkout popup window, it only shows me the window I added a image of to this post. Doesn’t matter what payment method I have added on the account at the time of trying to buy, I even get it when no payment options are on the account. And like I said previously this ONLY happens with Ea Play Pro and nothing else. I have tried talking to the EA Live Chat more than 5 times about this and they all give me suggestions that I might have typed in info wrong, completely ignoring what I have said about getting the message even when not having a payment option on the account. And they always finish it off by telling me to make a post here, since no one in the support section can help me. But who is gonna help me here if they can’t?

    When I click the continue button, the payment page will not pop up, only an error page will pop up, which is Error ref # 54001
