Re-introducing Relegation in the WORST Way Possible
Info for Pro Clubs has come out that Relegation is returning. Yet it's in the absolute worst way imaginable. A bad run of form now gets you a relegation battle match??? This sounds like nothing different than what is currently in the game. Where only winning or losing matters and gone is the importance of a draw. It's awful and it straight up HAS to be changed back to the old divisional format which was literally PERFECT. 10 matches to achieve a point total. Just like real life. It's perfect and creates excitement. There is nothing exciting or interesting that will keep people playing because they can occasionally get a relegation match where they will have to win.
Seriously, can a developer please let us know there thoughts on changing a perfect divisional system with the currently inferior version? I really would love to chat because the new system removes all the brilliance that we love about football. No more "last match for the title lads" or "have to win to keep it alive". Just, yeah here's unlimited matches to get to the terrible promotion matches in which you have to win where a draw does nothing. Boring, boring and boring. Me and my mates who have played for 12 years now have zero motivation to play. We barely want to get on and do playoffs because the matches hold no weight, there's no trophy celebration, the league table in the menu is so bad that you never ever feel like you are playing for anything. You're just playing for a record which is NOT football. You play for TROPHIES or SURVIVAL. This decision to re-introduce relegation like this makes zero sense, we really deserve a discussion from the developers. It's truly, truly awful.
What is the point of hitting elite division??? There is none! There's no point to playing once you get there because you literally can't win a trophy. I'm actually shocked. I thought for sure the devs would realize the new system is absolutely horrible in every way and say "sorry guys, we tried something new and it's clear we didn't think this out at all as it's a truly inferior system."
I don't even care if we don't get 10 divisions back. Just give us a point total for promotion and relegation and for the division title, and 10 matches to achieve it. THERE IS NO PRESSURE! You can play forever and eventually you'll get there, and it'll be the exact same with the new relegation system.
Please, we absolutely deserve a dev response on this.
