Re: [NEW Oct. 2024] - EA app and Error Code EC:204

Tried it earlier this evening and it appears to be corrected. It reverts back to online once you end the session, but your can go back offline with no problem. 

Still can't play FC offline, still getting the license expired error 

Also happening for me on EA FC25, Tried all previous "solutions" from other posts about it, still not working.

Funny thing EA reported this issue as RESOLVED in 2023

The error occurs when opening in offline mode AND when not connected to internet.

Game: sims 4

playing on PC (laptop)

Last time being succesfull to play offline was october 4.

It happens everytime when I try to play offline. Tried repair game, tried repair ea app, restart pc, restart everything. Nothing worked! 

Please give back the option to play offline, my game is verry slow and lagging when playing online, it’s terrible!

After launching the EA App, I click the three bars in the upper left corner and click "Go offline." When I see the game I want to play, Sims 4, I click the play button but a pop-up occurs stating the game license is expired and I need to be online to renew it, along with Error Code 204. I have no issues launching the game while online.

When does this error occur? Is it when you manually set the EA app to offline mode and then try to launch an offline-play-supported game? When trying to launch ME-LE when the App is in offline mode. Works fine when the app is online, but not offline. 

Last time I played The Sims 3 offline without any problems was yesterday evening.

I was preparing a town for a new story.

Since this morning I have this issue with error code204.

PC had already been offline prior to launching Sims 4. 

New EA App update has fixed this issue, If your app won't update go to: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop and run EAUpdater.exe. Thank you for the quick fix!

PC had already been offline upon launching Sims 4.

@Sejian Thank you so much!! I forced the update (despite the setting within the app to update automatically) and it installed the new version so now I can go back to playing offline. Not sure what kind of quality control/beta testing EA is doing but they need to improve it expeditiously.

The updated EA app version 13.310.1.5818 has corrected the issue for me and I can play The Sims 4 in offline mode once more. Thanks   

I updated through the ea updater exe, but I’m still getting EC: 204. I haven’t updated Ts4 yet due to an obnoxious bug. My current version ts4 is 1.107.151.1020. Is it possible that the fix doesn’t work unless you have the most recent ts4 update?

Ea Leeuw I updatedea app via ea app updater.exe and it updated ea app version to 13.314.0.5827 on windows 10 home 64 bit pc and after ea app updated to latest update all game which were showing error code 204 after previous ea update are not error anymore and working correctly but one game game which was showing the error code 204 even before previous ea app update still showinng even after latest updated which fixed the other games error.game s name battlefield 2 complete collection and it is showing itself as two seperate game in ea app library after an older ea app update was installed.can ea app team fix this game s error code 204 as well.please fix it.I am uploading my libray s sceenshot and battlefield 2 complete collection s error code s screenshot with this post.

EA app updated automatically, I guess. Anyway, I can confirm I could start TS4 in offline mode, so thanks for the solution :)
