They are usually playing golden goal. They are just trying to get objectives or games done not really trying to play the game.

@RadioShaqsI only play online seasons and this happens a lot. There's no golden goal or objectives in that. I can usually tell they are about to do it as well. I'll see the pause notification pop up at the top of the screen as I go on the attack and then the game pauses whether I have scored or not. I click resume straight away and the game resumes if I didn't score. If I do manage to score the opponent quits.
