Evo not working because of server issues

Question

in the new strikers instinct my 95 Savanier fits in in every requirement but it keeps saying 'there was a problem communicating with the football ultimate team servers. please try again later. So if I could get more information on why it isn't working, that would be appreciated. I even verified that he fits in on fut.gg an futbin and he indeed was eligible for the evo.

I’m using my 96 Thomas Muller for it and I haven’t had any pop up messages about servers but he’s my only active evo, I’ve played multiple squad battles on pro difficulty and not even the first objectives are being counted. Won every game and not even saying I’ve played one. Why?
