it all depends on where the game servers are and how resilient to packet loss/retransmission the service/game is
I suspect that FUT is using google cloud while other modes are just peer to peer
anyway I have been running tests all morning and I can see that my BT connection times out on many Google hosted services, including YouTube. Sometimes it takes 21 or 150 seconds for connections to eventually work, sometimes they just fail
- @-IRC-mainde According to this https://www.google.com/about/datacenters/locations/ the closest Google DC is Dublin, and London is still under construction. When I tracert various FUT/EA URL's I end up at LON3 (Rackspace) DC in London. EA site says they have a DC in London.

GCP has presence in London (europe-west-2 https://cloud.google.com/about/locations) but they don't have their own DC, they use Equinix. Rackspace is an Equinix reseller https://www.equinix.co.uk/partners/partner-directory/rackspace
So idk if EA uses Rackspace or GCP or Equinix but for sure BT is having routing problems - there's plenty of reports with issues starting on Thursday morning and I have first hand evidence of that as well. 🙂

I agree it was near 12pm on Thurs 21st Nov. I was playing fine until then that morning and haven't been able to load FUT menus since then. I can't even get in the mode now. Whenever the loading 'triangle' icon appears.... the game is freezing. PS5, PlusNet (owned by BT) Internet in UK.

- @EA_Aljo PSN ID smokey_joe0117 - Please change the thread name to BT/EE - been happening since Thursday 12pm and been trying non stop to play issue is not fixed last attempted 10 minutes ago - changing to mobile hotspot with 7mbs works better -
- @EA_Aljo In the Rackspace thread from earlier, a network engineer has posted a lot more technical info about the issue that can help.

Happened to me this morning as you can see I haven't played a game since. Dunno why it says Rivals as it was Champs finals. I was 3-1 up with a couple mins to go and it kicked me out and gave me the loss. Ridiculous that this can't get voided at the very least.

@EA_AljoHappened to me since Thursday same problem as everyone else just Ultimate team, always takes two attempts to open ultimate team, first attempt freezes says I lose connection try it again and opens without even loading screen of the weekly promo then continue to be disconnected from ultimate team servers every couple of minutes with long freezes before I get the message, I have tried reinstalling with still no luck (Digital PS5 with BT internet)
I have posted a thread on BT Fibre's Community Hub for awareness. many people will not even realise its a BT/EE issue and not EA Sports.

Thursday night is when I tried and UK
I also had this problem the first week EAFC 25 launched and only resolved it that time by switching to a old BT Router i still had. this has not worked this time though.
Same here nothing loading up Ps5. I think it is since ea fc had an update?

Once again weekend league game, 0-2 now due to 2 disconnects. What an absolute waste of time and money.

This is currently being investigated. It also appears to be on BT's side so it's possible, we'll have to wait for them to get this resolved.

Mate it's just happened again, right there. I'm 0-3 now. All disconnects. Fair enough it's getting looked into but I'm buying packs and competing to get into WL and getting shafted here, can I at least get them voided? You're welcome to view the matches if possible but this is a joke. Something back to the customer is surely not an unreasonable request. Not even asking for anything extra, just a level playing field.
Same connection issues happening for me since Thursday evening. My PSN ID is Winteria and I'm on BT internet. I have run connection and speed tests and everything is fine and internet has been perfect for anything other than Ultimate Team on FC25 on PS5. I can play games and do SBCs but connections are sporadically buffering for minutes at a time and erroring and then have to reconnect to the UT server.
Exactly the same symptoms here too, all other games work fine... It's just eafc that constantly disconnects
- @Funky2181 it's funny because it's specifically only happening in UT and no other game mode. I can play clubs and seasons just fine
