Have same issue and spent last few days trying to sort. Keep getting unable to connect and no other way to sign in on FC24. EA help advised downloading another EA title for switch which I did, this gives option at least to sign in but ea login details still didn't work.
Have nintendo online subscription, have tried redownloading game, have checked all steps relating to Internet provider/router and still no luck. Very frustrating

Finally figured it out, Ea support say they follow the parental control setup from nintendo but this is obviously not the case. I was able to log in and link the ea account with an adult nintendo account. Don't think a child nintendo account will be able to access ea online features regardless of what you do

just got this game on switch for my son and we cant play ultimate team mode, just says cannot connect.
Im wanting to use my EA account (adult ).
do you link them in game or via the website somehow?

Log into your EA account, go to account settings and you will see a connections tab down bottom left, click on that and you should be able to link nintendo account from there

EA live chat were next to useless. Im trying to link my adult EA account to my Childs Nintendo switch too so he can play FC24 🙂
Open fc 24 game on switch, try signing in from there ensuring you use "adult" ea sports account details
it doesn't seem to allow an email address and password to be entered. seems to be an auto sign in based on there EA account / connect apps section (which doesn't have a Switch link).
I found a way round it all. I created a new 'profile' on the switch and then set up a new Nintendo adult only account with my DOB. That way when I went into FC24, it gave me a QR to scan so I could then link my EA account to it. Its not an ideal solution but it worked and I have 1 happy son now 🙂
What are the steps for logging in to your EA adult account when you're in FC24? I keep getting connectivity error messages when we open the game but don't see any way to log in to my EA account so that the accounts can be linked. Is it in Settings or somewhere else?
